Beautiful home and yard with lots of space!
The house was very open and plenty of space to hang out together with all 10 people that stayed. The kitchen is very well stocked with cooking items (pans, dishes, silverware, knives, instapot), amazing stove and very large fridge with a smaller fridge in the pantry that we kept stocked with drinks. Plenty of seating at the large table and at barstools. Bathrooms connected to the 2 bedrooms with king beds are very large with double sinks. The problem is they do not have any doors on the bathrooms except for where the toilet is. You had to keep the large sliding doors on the bedrooms closed (the bedroom doors don’t lock) or you could see straight into the shower from the hallway. Beds that weren’t sofa beds were very comfortable. About 7 beach chairs, 2 body boards, beach umbrella, and beach toys were nice to have available. There was a fan in each room and some rooms had ceiling fans. These were necessary as the house has no A/C and it did get very warm sometimes even in January.
No A/C - there were a couple of nights that were extra warm but the fans did help. More fans in the house would be nice - 2 per room is necessary. The casita above the garage is extra hot and only had 1 fan. The house doesn’t get too much of a breeze coming thru the windows because there are so many trees/shrubs around the house that block the breeze. The yard is beautiful. The sprinklers run every single morning so don’t leave anything on the deck as it all gets wet (which sometimes happens because of rain anyway). A sliding door on the bathrooms where the shower/tub is would be a nice addition. It is very strange that you can see into the showers from the hallway if the bedroom doors aren’t closed. The bedroom doorways are huge and have 3 sliding doors that close but don’t lock. The 5th “bedroom” is just an area off of the living room that has a pullout sofa bed and a curtain that can be pulled for a little privacy.
