This is - by far - one of the most honest guest houses I've been to. The photos here actually match the reality. The room was clean and tidy. The bathroom was clean but its accessories needed some maintenance, yet it was ok. The AC was GREAT!! Luxor is not an easy place when it comes to heat. The pool was clean and well maintained. It was great to have after a long day in the sun. There's a decent shared area besides the pool with a small kitchenette that holds essential appliances, as well as a washing machine. The host (Mohamed Anwar) is a very friendly guy who is very aware of Luxor. He even advised me on the best schedule to visit the historical sites, given that I was only there for one night. Abdullah, a local from Luxor who also works there, was a very polite and decent guy, and he advised us on the best places to eat and shop.
Nothing bad about the place. The guest house itself is great. But the area isn't close to the sites, so you do need to arrange some mean of transportation to avoid getting ripped off by Taxis and Ubers. Luckily I had my car with me. Initially, I wanted to park it and travel around with an Uber or a Taxi, but when I did, I was getting hustled, so I ended up driving around.
