The property had amenities included from toiletries, good wifi, extra appliances, good shower pressure, breakfast included. The staff I encountered mostly were two younger boys who were very polite and helped me with anything I needed within the property or outside. Definitely get more than your moneys worth in this cheap stay !

Minor problem I had with the property was it's location was a challenge to find, but I also booked same day as check in so the staff was not prepared to make that problem easier for me as they didnt know I was coming.

We stayed 3 nights. Golden Scarab Guest House is new, and our room was spacious, very clean and comfortable, with hot shower, good fridge, everything we needed. The breakfast was superb. The swimming pool was great after a hot day out. Ali and the boys were very helpful with everything we needed, including a half day trip to Valley of the Kings. The location was perfect for us, a short walk to the corniche, with lots of restaurants, ATMs, and ferry.

From the hotel „Golden Scarab“, it’s only 200 meters or a 2-minute walk to the western Corniche, which runs directly along the banks of the Nile with a view of the Luxor Temple and the famous Winter Palace Hotel. The small but very fine hotel was completed just a few months ago, so of course everything is brand new. How should I summarize my short but wonderful time here? (I immediately extended my stay privately for two days.) Ali (the owner) and his two sons anticipated my every wish and fulfilled them right away (if they didn't have something, they'd go get it, wow). My bed was so comfortable that I barely wanted to get up, the bathroom was more than spacious and even accessible for people with reduced mobility (though wheelchair users will have to be a little patient). You want to have breakfast at 5 a.m., for example? No problem at all! A small kitchenette with a kettle and tea and/or coffee is also provided. A very spacious wardrobe, refrigerator, vanity table, small armchair, chair, 5 power outlets, hairdryer, etc., round out the whole experience. In terms of value for money, it is the best I have enjoyed in the last 6 years of vacationing in Luxor. I almost forgot to mention the small pool with the sun loungers, the bar, tables, and chairs in the courtyard. I will visit the Golden Scarab every year now!
