Golden Scarab Guest House

From the hotel „Golden Scarab“, it’s only 200 meters or a 2-minute walk to the western Corniche, which runs directly along the banks of the Nile with a view of the Luxor Temple and the famous Winter Palace Hotel. The small but very fine hotel was completed just a few months ago, so of course everything is brand new. How should I summarize my short but wonderful time here? (I immediately extended my stay privately for two days.) Ali (the owner) and his two sons anticipated my every wish and fulfilled them right away (if they didn't have something, they'd go get it, wow). My bed was so comfortable that I barely wanted to get up, the bathroom was more than spacious and even accessible for people with reduced mobility (though wheelchair users will have to be a little patient). You want to have breakfast at 5 a.m., for example? No problem at all! A small kitchenette with a kettle and tea and/or coffee is also provided. A very spacious wardrobe, refrigerator, vanity table, small armchair, chair, 5 power outlets, hairdryer, etc., round out the whole experience. In terms of value for money, it is the best I have enjoyed in the last 6 years of vacationing in Luxor. I almost forgot to mention the small pool with the sun loungers, the bar, tables, and chairs in the courtyard. I will visit the Golden Scarab every year now!

Bij het boeken, kreeg ik binnen een half uur antwoord op mijn speciale verzoeken. Het is een nieuw gebouw: alles mooi, modern en schoon. Ook keukentje en koelkast aanwezig EN goede airconditioning!, op de kamer. Het zwembad ligt in een afgesloten tuin, wat privacy bied. ! Het personeel was zeer beleefd en behulpzaam. Ze beschikken over een taxi, wat ik als zeer prettig heb ervaren dan hoef je niet telkens te onderhandelen met andere taxichauffeurs!

Dit was niet de eerste keer dat wij het mooie Luxor bezochten, hebben in meerdere accommodaties gezeten, waar niet echt alles optimaal was. Door dat dit een nieuwe accommodatie was, wilden we deze uitproberen: hebben geen slechte of minder leuke dingen ervaren !
