Riad Tarab Fes

This Riad is located in a relatively convenient part of Fes el Bali, close to Bab Bou Jeloud (the Blue Gate). If you are arriving by car, you can park at the underground car park outside Bab Bou Jeloud. Compared with parking fees in Europe, the price here is quite reasonable. The Riad is not far from Bab Bou Jeloud, and you can simply follow the lively pedestrian street. However, the entrance to the Riad is not directly on this main street, so we had some difficulty finding it the first time. Google Maps took us to the entrance of a shop on the main street, which was clearly not the right place. In fact, you need to enter through a small side alley and walk to a parallel street. The Riad is located at the end of that street, around the corner. Once you know where it is, it is quite easy to find. The Riad has beautiful traditional Moroccan-style decoration, and the owner was extremely welcoming and friendly. Our room upstairs was also very spacious, with more than enough room for our family of three. The breakfast was excellent and was actually the most generous breakfast we had during our entire trip in Morocco. We especially loved the traditional Moroccan decoration of the breakfast room on the terrace and took quite a few photos there. Although Fes is very hot during the day in summer, the glass-covered breakfast room was surprisingly cool and pleasant in the morning. If you want to experience the atmosphere of Fes el Bali, this Riad is an excellent choice. It is very convenient for exploring the old city: just outside the Riad, you are quickly on the lively main pedestrian street lined with shops, and all the major sights inside Fes el Bali can be reached on foot. There are also plenty of covered sections along the way, so even in summer, the walk is not excessively exposed to the sun. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here and would happily recommend this Riad to anyone visiting Fes.

Breakfast was excellent! The terrace was amazing. Mohammed was the most hospitable host I’ve ever had. He was so kind, set up day trips and early taxis for us. We felt very taken care of and everyone was so kind. We also got to visit his music shop and jam out with him :) The location was 10/10. Truly, such a wonderful experience.

The beds could have been more comfortable, but I can’t say it affected our sleep. I still slept very well.

Amazing staff, amazing food, amazing place. Loved the experience. Above all, people were very kind at all times.
