CASA QUERCU

We liked a great many things about the property. Very easy to find, safe and shaded parking place (despite being a bit steep). Nice garden in from of the property. The room itself (there are 4) it is well suited for 3 persons. Even 4 but with a squeeze. There is a fully functional kitchinette with everything that you need. There is a big enough fridge in the room and surprisingly quiet (setting between 3 and 4). The air conditioning unit is masterfully placed above the entrance door which allows for a shielded sleeping area while keeping the cool. We don't sleep with the AC on, but this is our choice. If you leave the bathroom door open and the window and the terrace slider (with the mosquitto net) open, there will be a pleasant air draft in the early hours in the morning. The beds were very comfortable for us (we like them sturdy). There is not a suitable place to have diner inside, you need to go to the terrace. This is not a big inconvenient if you are ready to battle the mosquitoes (this is everywhere in Chalkidiki it seems). Still, there are solutions for those (blue lamp) and then you can enjoy the evening on the terrace. The host is very nice, they provide cold watter, coffee (instant), tea, mosquitto repellent. There was also a mixture of cooking spices in our room. Very helpfull. We left an entire pack of coffee for the next visitors :)). Access to the beaches is easy but it depends on your preferences: for familly with kids, this year, we prefered the nearby Sarti beach (4 km). For an evening stroll or sunbathing you can go on foot to the local Sykia beach. We didn't enjoy it very much because of the stray dogs which were chasing children in front of us. This was shocker for me.

So clean and the area is so quiet borders with serene. Yes, some cars can be heard here and there but overall the property is very peaceful. Dedicated parking, fast internet, view of the rolling hills with the morning coffee… these are just a few of the things I can think of right now.

Peaceful, clean place, a couple of minutes from the beach by bike. Convenient parking in the yard. Spacious. Kind proprietaire.

The stove is a bit temperamental — it takes its time heating up food.

New accommodation

No cleaning service at all. We were informed at our arrival that sheets are changed every 5 days. In the fourth day of our 7 night booking they gave us sheets and towels to be changed by us. Litter bins were never cleaned. So for 65€ per night you get to do do chores on your vacation. In addition when in our arrival i pointed out that there is no mosquito repellent device, they told us that they had to much to do and that that was something minor, so we had to buy one because there is a huge mosquito problem in the area
