About this house rental

Just a short walk to the beach and the "village of La Jolla", come and enjoy this sunny, bright, comfortably decorated, two-level home. Featuring three bedrooms, a rooftop deck and gorgeous sunset views that overlook the sparkling blue Pacific Ocean. Large private back patio is a great place to relax after a day at the beach or bar-b-que.

You'll love being located within walking distance of all the great restaurants, cafes, shops, and boutiques the quintessential village of La Jolla has to offer. Both the beaches and La Jolla's famous shops and restaurants are within a 3-4-block walk, so this is a great choice if you want a carless vacation. At the beaches, explore the wonders of tide pools, watch the local seals romp in the surf, and laze on the shore.

The well-equipped kitchen has an island with seating and a dine in table. The adjacent family room has a TV and doors leading out to the back courtyard patio with dining and lounging furniture. A cozy sitting room, dining room, and half bathroom complete the first level.

The upstairs primary suite has a king bed, a TV, and an en suite bathroom with marble floor and counters, a walk-in shower, and a bathtub. A sunny second bedroom faces the front of the house with ocean views and a queen bed. The third guest room has a queen bed as well. The guest bathroom with a shower/tub and double vanity is down the hall across from a laundry closet with a full-size washer/dryer.

The location of the property was perfect. It was close to the beach and very close to restaurants, and a grocery store. Everything we needed was close by with no need of driving anywhere. With that said, our check in process was less than ideal. We didn’t get the welcome “kit” so we had no idea how to get in to the place. We called Ocean properties and they verbally gave us the code and said they would send it through email, however we didn’t get it until hours later after contacting Vrbo costumer service. It was frustrating because we couldn’t leave the house since we didn’t have the code to come back in. Another big thing was the overall cleanliness of the place. First the refrigerator smelled horribly like fish. The ice also smelled like fish and we were unable to use it. We have a crawling toddler and the floors were disgusting. We had to clean the floors in order to let my toddler crawl on them. We also cleaned the refrigerator and threw the ice away but that didn’t help with the fish smell at all. Overall, it was an okay stay. The location makes it worth the price, however, for how much they charge for the cleaning fee, one would think the place would be cleaner.
