The location was perfect- it was in the heart of the Old Town, just a 5-minute walk from the Colosseum and about 7 minutes from the Trevi Fountain. During our visit, the weather was extremely hot (around 40°C), so we were very grateful that the apartment had air conditioning. We concluded that if we visit Rome again, we would happily stay in the same apartment. Getting there from the central train station (Termini) was also very easy by taking the metro to the Colosseum station. We decided to walk instead, which took us about 20 minutes. Overall, the apartment had everything we needed, including towels, toiletries, kitchenware, and even a steam iron, so there was no need to bring anything extra.

The host was extremely kind, responsive, and helpful throughout our stay. Any questions we had were answered quickly, and when we asked for a clothes steamer, one was provided for us without any issues, which we really appreciated. The location was also excellent—convenient, well situated, and perfect for exploring the area.

Unfortunately, our stay was significantly affected by issues with the neighbours living upstairs. We spent our evenings sitting outside and smoking, talking at a normal volume and not having parties or making excessive noise. However, one of the girls living upstairs repeatedly came to complain, saying she could hear every word we were saying. This happened on multiple evenings and made us feel uncomfortable using the outdoor space. What made the situation even more frustrating was that there were other people regularly using the stairs and common areas around the apartment, often creating more noise than we were, yet nobody seemed to have any issue with them. We felt unfairly singled out despite trying to be respectful throughout our stay. The most disturbing incident occurred when !!! SOMEONE FROM UPSTAIRS POURED WATER ON US !!! while we were sitting outside. This was extremely upsetting and completely ruined our ability to relax and enjoy the rest of our stay. After that, we no longer felt comfortable spending time outside. The apartment itself was generally comfortable, but there were a few areas that could be improved. It could have been a little cleaner, and my mother was not comfortable using the shower, although I understand that it was designed in a modern style. The kettle also did not work properly. Another issue was the poor ventilation, which made it difficult for towels to dry during our stay. Overall, the host and location were excellent and deserve recognition. However, the issues with the neighbours, particularly the incident where water was poured on us, had a major negative impact on our experience and prevented us from fully enjoying what could otherwise have been a very pleasant stay.
