Ibernesi - Charming apartment at the Roman Forums

Great location and Alla (our host) was super friendly and helpful. Had a small issue with the key (that may have been my fault) but Alla was very accessible and was able to resolve the issue quickly. She also helped arrange a transfer to the airport and spoke English which was helpful since our Italian was limited. The loft was a little smaller than expected based on the pictures but there was plenty of space for 4 adults to stay. There was a very comprehensive book of restaurants and attractions which was a nice resource. I would stay again. Thanks Alla!!

Great location! Walking distance to the Colosseum. Good local restaurants and shops nearby. Lots of space and really appreciated having two bathrooms for four people. Full kitchen. Great communication and easy checkin.

There is deferred maintenance such as paint peeling from the bathroom ceiling, mold or what appears to be mold on bath light fixtures, leaking shower enclosures that have damaged the floors, bad workmanship attempts to caulk and paint, in effect the bathrooms need to be replaced. the washer and stove were not functional when we arrived but those were quickly fixed by the owner who we did not meet but had frequent contact by message. The downstairs bed has a foam topper over an older mattress with no mattress cover, though we slept OK on it. Note that there is no complete separate bedroom- there are open walls so a loft like set up. Upstairs you do have to duck to get to either the bed or the bathroom. We lost water pressure in the evening so we’re unable to shower, but I assume that is a neighborhood or building issue. The location was great we loved being near the monuments and in a charming area, but be aware of the deferred maintenance and open set up of the apartment.
