I liked the modern styling with white tiles through out, to the high ceilings. The aircon blew cold clean air. The fixtures were new. It was actually clean, not like soo many other places where the aesthetic looked amazing but, the rooms smelt of mold and aircons blew funky smells from them. So I was %100 happy with James Guest House and highly recommend to solo BB travellers and families as you can just book the entire place out.

My new home away from home.

I love everything about the property. It is small, super clean, quiet and ideally located. It is a family run guest house and they are all lovely, friendly and hard working. The rooms are spacious and all walls inside and out are tiled floor to ceiling. Best part is the rooms don’t have adjoining walls. The timber trim on glass sliding doors and the furniture is beautiful. The room is furnished like a 5* hotel room. Everything is large and in excellent condition. There is a super comfy bed with quality white linen, wardrobe with full length hanging space and shelving, full length mirror, a side buffet with cupboards and drawers, wall mounted TV, bedside tables with drawers, lamps, refrigerator, comfy stools and outdoor furniture on the verandah. Large bathroom, plenty of hot water, well functions toilet and plumbing. The pool is lovely with shade and sun options to move the sun lounges. Secure parking for bikes. There is also a drinks refrigerator located in the undercroft that is stocked with an assortment of options for purchase. Laundry services is offered on site. Guest house location is ideal…close to everything without the crowds and noise.

Perfect in every way

We spent 10 days here and everything was perfect! Hot water, good wifi, Netflix, a clean pool, quiet. Everything you could ask for! Most importantly the staff here are so lovely to chat too and helpful and the room was cleaned every day.

Poor communication with host

Did not end up staying

Did not end up staying at this property. On the day of check in, I communicated with the host my anticipated check in time of 8-9. The host then informs me that check in closes after 8p. In the property listing, it states check in from 1400-midnight. If I had known check in was restricted to before 8p, I would not have booked. The host’s communication was poor.

Great place in a calm street yet close to restaurants and shops. I only stayed here for my last night to be close to the airport but I really appreciated the comfy bed and spacious room.

Perfect accommodation!

Spotless!! The cleanest accommodation we’ve had in SE Asia, staff were so friendly and were always checking up on us to see if everything was okay which we loved. The bed was soooo comfy too! The most comfortable room ever. Great location too! Near everything but also far enough to have silence at night time.

I felt super safe and genuinely welcomed from the moment I arrived. Ketut was fantastic, like a warm, caring aunt looking out for you, and the staff? Absolutely outstanding! The room was spotless and cleaned daily, which made the stay even more comfortable. The location was spot-on, with great restaurants and supermarkets just around the corner, plus only a 15-minute walk to the beach to catch those unforgettable sunsets. I’m already excited to come back and can’t wait to stay here again in October!

BAD SMELLS FROM BATHROOM

Location was convenient but only because I was visiting a friend just down the street.

THE SMELL OF THE BATHROOM! I dont know what it was but there is a very strong and bad smell coming in from the bathroom. It's either something to do with the pipes, or the outside.... Smells like poop. Horrible.

The best ever, it is near to every beach ( 10 minutes by moto ) the owner are very freindly and very polite , you Can rent a 🏍️ from the guest house . WE highly recommend this place .

A wonderful stay in the heart of Seminyak

Everything was great at such a reasonable price for this area in Bali. The room was very clean with good amenities, the property was relatively new and was taken care very well. Location is perfect, within walking distance to everything but also away from big main roads so it was quiet enough. I would definitely consider staying again in the future

Very good

The owners of this guest house went above and beyond! A few teething issues as this is a new business but if there was ever an issue the owner Ketut was there to fix it straight away and always responded to messages. Such lovely people. There are some dogs that they've rescued that are super cute but do bark from time to time.. Would definitely recommend to friends and stay again :) Great location, daily house cleaning, airport pickup for reasonable price, swimming pool with lounge chairs to name a few more great things.

A 10/10 experience I would 100% recommend staying here

It felt like we were in an expensive hotel but for half the price. The room was so clean and comfortable. The facilities were amazing and had a tv and good air conditioning in the room. And can’t forget the staff are so lovely and helpful !!

La habitación muy amplia y muy cómoda. Limpiaban todos los días y pude ver Netflix después de 4 meses viajando sin parar :). Está muy cerca de la playa pero en una zona muy tranquila. La piscina es genial y son muy amables. Volvería a repetir sin duda.

Superbe séjour

La chambre est vraiment spacieuse, lumineuse, très propre avec le ménage fait chaque jour. La piscine est vraiment chouette. Barre de traction disponible en face de la piscine.

L'hôtel se situe à environ 20 min à pied de la plage la plus proche.
