The peace and seclusion was a welcome break. The village of Quiesa has an excellent bar (great pastries and espressos), and there is a well stocked supermarket a 20 minute walk away. The retreat has everything you need kitchen wise. Eating, cooking and washing all outdoors takes a bit of getting used to, but there are no surprises, it is as it is in the pictures. The property is easy to find and there is a bus and a train (not so frequent but frequent enough) that means the property is easily accessible by public transport.
Only things which were outside of the host’s control: it happened to be quite windy when I stayed, and the mornings were quite chilly (but there is a heater inside the tent, which is sufficient).
