Rustico Dora is located in Montemagno, a small hill town on the ancient road of the Via Francigena.
Surrounded by the greenery of olive groves and vineyards, it is an excellent starting point for peaceful walks; ideal to reach in a few minutes the beaches of Versilia and in a strategic position to visit both the main art cities located in the heart of Tuscany (Lucca, Pisa, Florence, Siena) and tourist destinations such as Garfagnana, the Carrara marble quarries and the romantic Cinque Terre.
The house, comfortable and welcoming, is a characteristic rustic furnished in Tuscan style with terracotta floors and ceiling with wooden beams, is equipped with appliances, wi-fi connection and private parking. The garden with patio and barbecue, surrounded by aromatic plants and fruit trees, is an excellent refuge for relaxing, while a few steps away two restaurants offer typical Tuscan dishes.
The accommodation of about 100 square meters is located on two levels. It consists of: 1 double bedroom, 2 bathrooms, closets, dining room, kitchen complete with every comfort, garden with patio and independent entrance.
Pets are not allowed in the structure and smoking is prohibited. The cottage is suitable for children but unfortunately it is not suitable for the disabled.
It is advisable to use your own car, however, a few steps from the house is the bus stop that allows you to reach railway stations and airports.

We stayed at this house up on the mountain and drove about 14 Km to the Camaiore beach. The house is beautiful, with a beautiful enclosed garten, kids can play around without worrying them running to the street. The renter has almost everything you need in the house...There are 2 great restaurants nearby, and a bike /Cafe Shop (there are many bikes/bike tours/e-bike tours passing thru this road). It is situated next to a main road, so it can be loud if you have the windows open...But with closed windows you can barely hear anything.

Rustica Dora is lovely house, as described. The garden is a great spot to relax or BBQ and is full of fresh herbs and roses. It’s a very short walk into the village, where there 2 restaurants and 2 bar/cafes. Everyone is super friendly and it’s a great base the explore Tuscany from. A car is a must. Alessio, the host, was very helpful and always available- many thanks, we had a great stay and highly recommend.

The place and the furniture is nice but quite old. The garden is great, we liked that the most of this place. The location is good, but also a bit noisy from the street nearby and it's located next to a church. The place looks clean, but the toilets/shower were a bit smelly. We had a great time and can recommend this place for people who are looking for a simpel stay.

Great appartment centrally in Northen Tuscany

The apartment is centrally located in northen Tuscany only a 30 - 60 minutes drive away from attractions like Lucca, Pisa, Cinque Terre and Florence, Montecatini Alto and Bagni di lucca to name a few. Great beaches like Lido di Camaiore are only 15 minutes away. The apartment which was very clean has a large kitchen and dining room with all appliances needed, 2 bathrooms with showers and 3 bedrooms. The showers were good as was the bed we slept in. The apartment has a good wireless connection, tv's, an alarm system, a washing machine and private parking. The house, which is attached to a church, is beautiful and has a large private garden where you can enjoy your meals or just relax and bask in the sun. There are hiking trails nearby and the Via Francigena trail lies through the village. There are several restaurants to pick from but we always picked Le Meraviglie across the street. We highly recommend this restaurant. Alessio was very kind and helpful and met us even though we arrived late in the evening and had prepared a very welcome treat for us with local wine, cheese and more. He explained everything concerning the appartment and surroundings. This is a perfect place to stay if you prefer a spacious apartment with a private garden away from the crowds but still a short distance from main attractions.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, the villa was immaculately clean and very well appointed. Couple of great eateries in the village, and a lovely friendly little bar. Nestled in the Tuscan countryside there are some fabulous walks directly from the house. Whenever we ventured out for the day (and there are plenty of places to visit within easy reach) we always looked forward to coming back here. We would highly recommend this property, so much so we hope to return in the near future.

The villa was beautiful and nestled against the Tuscan hills. It was close to the restaurants and an easy walk to the village. Alessio was accommodating to all of our needs and I recommend experiencing Tuscany in this way.

When he opened the gate to our charming country garden....we were delighted to see that the table was enticingly set with a board of cheese and meats....and a bottle of local wine....a wonderful way to begin the stay. The home has an Old World charm that we were looking for (stone walls, beautiful wood beams, etc.).....and the decor to complement it all. There were nice touches everywhere throughout the home - from the scented candles to the lavender bouquets on the bed. Additionally, there are a few restaurants nearby (walking distance) - as well as trails through the countryside. It is also only a short drive to Cinque Terre - an easy visit with the benefit of not being caught up in the crowds.We highly recommend staying here to experience Tuscany as a local, off the beaten path.

We stayed one week in this spacious stonehouse behind the local church. Nice garden where we could bbq and relax day or night. The small village containing a few restaurants but no supermarket though, is centrally positioned if you are planning to see the north of Tuscany including Florence, Lucca, Pisa, but also easy enough to drive south to Chianti or Montepulciano although you are looking at 2 hour drive. We have a lovely time here, and can only recommend it :)

Wir hatten nach Florenz sowie Siena im Hotel uns auch noch für die Ziele Pisa und Lucca interessiert . Hierfür hatten wir das Haus gebucht. Das Haus war sehr sauber, sehr liebevoll ausgestattet und es fällte uns an nichts. Allessio der Vermieter war immer sofort per whats up für uns erreichbar und immer sehr bemüht. Wenn man etwas bemängeln kann, dann nur das es im Ort keine Ausfall für Frühstück gibt sowie dass das Haus an eine Durchfahrtstraße liegt. Wir würden selbst immer wieder kommen.

Es war alles da. Wir haben selbst kochen können und haben herrlich im Garten gespeist. Unser Vermieter war stets um uns bemüht und stand für alle Wünsche bereit (Tipps inklusive). Eine hervorragende Gegend für Fahrradtouren in die Umgebung (Lucca, Pisa ...). E-Bikes waren für uns (60+) dann aber doch erforderlich! / Era tutto lì. Potremmo cucinare da soli e cenare meravigliosamente in giardino. Il nostro padrone di casa era sempre pronto ad aiutarci ed era disponibile per tutte le richieste (mance incluse). Un'ottima zona per le gite in bicicletta della zona (Lucca, Pisa...). Dopotutto, le e-bike erano necessarie per noi (60+)!

Die Unterkunft wurde mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. In unmittelbarer Nähe sind zwei Restaurants, die man in 1-2 Minuten zu Fuß erreichen kann. Ein Parkplatz ist ebenfalls vorhanden. Für uns war das bisher die schönste Unterkunft die wir bisher gebucht hatten und daher sehr zu empfehlen. Aber man muss bedenken, dass das Haus etwas weit vom Schuss liegt, daher ist ein Auto empfehlenswert.

Eine wunderschöne Unterkunft mit viel Platz. Wir haben uns gleich zuhause gefühlt. Im großen Garten mit seinen Kräuterdüften konnten wir herrlich und wirklich privat entspannen. Die Lage der Unterkunft war für uns der ideale Startpunkt für geniale Radtouren (E-BIKE) nach Lucca und nach Pisa. Ein besonderes Lob gebührt unserem Vermieter Alessio! In allen Fragen stand er uns mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Wir kommen wieder!!!

Nous avons profité fin août de cette belle maison. Tout est parfaitement conforme aux photos, l'intérieur comme le jardin sont très soignés et agréables. Le plateau d'accueil avec charcuterie, fromage et vin local est à noter également. Seul petit inconvénient, un peu de bruit à cause de la route voisine. A recommander sans hésiter !

The Arrival in Montemagno at Alessio's house was the start of a perfect Holiday. Alessio took us to the place and showed us the house. What you see on the Pictures is also what you get. The House tells you that you are in Toscany, everything is so nicely built. Alessio prepared us a plate with Toscan's specialties (also local specialties), bread, fruit, and wine, this is the first time ever that we got such a great welcome. The Location is central to visit many of the beautiful places and cities of Toscany. The beach is a 10mn ride. If you want to enjoy the Dolce Vita, go and have a drink at the Ristorum (Bar in the village) before going to one of the Restaurant of the village. You really have to try all of them, they are really good and very fair regarding the Price. We will definitely try to visit this area again in the future. Thank you Alessio.

Das Ferienhaus ist gut eingerichtet, alle notwendigen Sachen vorhanden (Bettwäsche, Handtücher, Waschmaschine, Fliegengitte an den Fenstern, Verdunklung gegen Hitze am Tag, ...). Der Garten mit Sonnenschirm ist für heisse Tage schön. Das Haus liegt an der Straße durch den Ort, das heißt in der Toskana dann tlw. lebhafter Verkehr. Bis nach Lucca 20 Minuten, zum Meer 40 Minuten. Im Ort 3 Restaurants zur Verfügung (d.h. innerhalb von 200 m, aber getrennt durch die kleine Kirche, an deren Rückseite das Haus angebaut ist). Das Haus liegt im Hügelland am Rande der Apuanischen Alpen, man kann innerhalb 10 Km Entfernung vom Haus auf über 1000 m hoch wandern.

La descripción del anuncio coincide con la realidad. A nosotros, incluso, nos pareció más bonita "en vivo y en directo". La propiedad estaba limpia y en muy buen estado, con todo lo necesario. Con Alessio todo han sido facilidades, nos aclaró aún más la situación de la casa, nos citó en un lugar fácil de encontrar, sin posibilidad de error (parking junto a la iglesia de Montemagno). Nos recibió con queso, salami y vino de la tierra, una maravilla. La primera noche, cansados del viaje y de la visita a Pisa, nos relajamos en las tumbonas del jardín, contemplando las estrellas. A pesar de que hemos tenido altas temperaturas en la Toscana toda la semana, por la noche, como nos dijo Alesio, no hemos echado en falta el aire acondicionado, no era necesario (de algo sirve estar arriba de un puertecillo con 2 ó 3 km de curvas). Mención especial al restaurante Le Meraviglie (justo enfrente de la casa) con una comida y un servicio excelentes y con unos precios magníficos, al alcance de cualquier bolsillo, de ahí que estuviera todos los días lleno (siendo un restaurante al que hay que ir ex-profeso, por algo será). Recomendaremos la casa a nuestros amigos y nos gustaría volver de nuevo ya que, en esta primera ocasión en la Toscana, hemos hecho muchos kilómetros y hemos disfrutado poco la casa, que tiene mucho que disfrutar. Alesio, muy agradecidos con tu hospitalidad y por tener la casa tan bien como la tienes. Por cierto, La Toscana, una maravilla..., volveremos.

La descripción del anuncio excelente, la casa es exactamente como la esperábamos, incluso nos pareció más bonita "en vivo y en directo". Las aclaraciones solicitadas a Alessio muy claras y el lugar donde quedamos, perfecto, junto a la iglesia, sin lugar a equívocos. El recibimiento de Alessio con vino de la tierra, salami y queso, excelente. La propiedad estaba en perfectas condiciones, el jardín, esa primera noche, muy relajante. Hemos tenido temperaturas altas (por encima de 32º C todos los días) en nuestra visita por la Toscana pero, en la casa, por la noche, hemos dormido muy bien, dado que está en un alto (alguna ventaja tenía que tener subir el puertecillo de 3 o 4 km con sus curvas para llegar a la casa). Por cierto, magnífico el ristotante Le Meraviglie, platos expléndidos y precios muy asequibles, para todos los bolsillos y la atención, excelente. Lo recomiendo encarecidamente. En resumen, hicimos una muy buena elección para nuestro viaje a la Toscana. Queremos volver y disfrutar más de la casa que nos encantó.

The house located in a little mountain village. It is very tastefully renovated and well equipped. Lucca, Pisa, the beach and the mountains for hiking are all easy to reach. Allessio was very helpful in every regard. The only little drawback was that the road though the village has a bit more traffic than one may expect. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

We stayed for a week at the start of June 2016. The house is lovely, well decorated, spacious and the garden is very enjoyable. The kitchen is well equipped. We have also enjoyed the barbecue outside. Alessio, the owner, is very accommodating and helpful. We had no issue to get the full deposit back. There are several walk near the house. The city of Lucca and Pisa are within approximately 30min driving. It is easy to do a day trip to Firenze or to the Chiantigiana.

This was a great vacation in the Toscana! The Rustico is clean and cosy! We enjoyed it very much and it is the perfect starting point for exploring the toscana! It is very good reachable by car from Airport Florence or Pisa. The Manager Alessio is very helpful and friendly and made us a warm welcome with a nice bottle of wine! Next to the Rustio are 2-3 Restaurants and a BBQ is in the garden. The Kittchen is fully equipped so you can chosse if you like to cook bbq for yourself or go out for eating! The village is about 15 minutes form the oacean (viareggio) and approx. 30 to PISA. Also Lucca is 15 minutes away. The next supermarket is located some minutes drive in the next village. The Rustico is located next to a charming old church and good reachable by car! Don't worry about the church, the bell is NOT rining all night long and starts in the morning about 8:30, so it is perfect for relaxxing. The Rustico is exactly as mentioned in the description, there are 2 bed rooms and 2 baths, kitchen and dining room as well as a living room, so perfect if you want to come with you family or friends or just for 2 persons... was a perfect choice thanks you so much for the great time Alessio!

Estuvimos en el mes de septiembre una semana hospedando en esta casa. La casa se encuentra muy bien ubicada y equipada. Cuenta con una cocina con todos los utensilios necesario.además la casa estaba muy limpia. Nuestro auto lo pudimos estacionar gratis afuera en un estacionamiento. A 20 min en auto esta la playa libre de torre del lago, a 30 min de la ciudad de Pisa y Lucca y a 2 hrs app de Florencia. En la cercanias hay dos restaurantes donde se puede ir a cenar (con muy buen servicio) y a su ves un bar y una cafeteria. El entorno es precioso; tipico paisaje toscano con sus viñedos. El dueño muy amable, a nuestra llegada recibimos una merienda compuesta por salame quesos y agua mineral. Yo la recomiendo 100 %.
