Beautifully located property, with plenty of nearby places to visit
The property sits near the top of a hill. From the terrace of our apartment, we had a stunning view of the plane towards Viareggio and the Ligurian Sea. The Casale has a nice common garden, a playground, and a swimming pool. Every apartment has its own private terrace, with a barbecue. Our apartment had three bedrooms, a living/dining room, and a kitchen (all equipment was as indicated on the website). A welcome package with pasta and a bottle of Chianti was waiting for us. The owners met us upon our arrival, handed over the keys, and showed us around. There are plenty of bakeries and shops in Massarosa, which is very nearby, but you need a car to go up and down the hill (the Casale offers bikes, if you're up for a healthy climb). The Casale is conveniently close to Luca, Pisa, and Barga, which are all very much worth visiting. The (free) beaches of Viareggio are a 30min drive away. We had a very pleasant stay here.
