Beautiful view

Lovely location and beautiful views over the Firth of Forth. This van is spacious with comfortable seating. Kitchen is well equipped with plenty dishes. Some more glasses would be good. The beds were clean with fresh linen and it was nice to see both mattress and pillow protectors. The price we paid was very fair a 2 night stay. It's not the most modern caravan but was was just fine for our stay.

I do think some areas in the kitchen that the cleaning could be improved. The kitchen clothes, brushes and sponges were very well used and grubby. We did have to wash some of the pots and frying pan before using them.

Location was good. Beds were comfy. Large livingroom.

I hate leaving negative reviews but really struggled with this stay.. When we arrived the fridge (small freezer at top) was off so all the food shop we'd bought for arriving was wasted (£90). The windows were all cracked open so it was really cold. My kids refused showers entire time we were there as there was cobwebs and spiders everywhere in the bathroom/shower and the window was open. Had to travel to family members to get them washed. Second night the boiler stopped working so it was absolutely freezing. My youngest (2) was screaming as she was that cold. Tried about 4 or 5 numbers that were on a list in the van and couldn't get hold of anyone for about an hour and a half... it was late at night. They eventually brought heaters out for the night but emphasised the distance they were having to travel. The man was nice enough when they arrived but the woman seemed really annoyed they had to come out. The man did come back a while later and offered another van for a night (2 bedroomed) but by that point my daughter was hysterical and I just wanted to get her to bed so stuck with the heaters. They said they had paid the park to put a new gas bottle in but it hadn't been done. The next morning I nipped to the office (they dont own the van it is private) to see if they could sort the bottle. They explained caravans are meant to have two bottles all times so when one is running low the other is there already and theres no issues with no heat. They were brilliant though and said that he would go up after lunch to put the new bottle up (we were leaving for the day so that was fine). Turned out the actual boiler had a fault and the park fixed it (which isnt their job as they are seperate to the owner of the van). I did get a message later on that day to ask if the boiler was working. Some of the blinds in the van were broken and the curtains were hanging down so there was no privacy at night.

Comfortable accomodation.

Comfortable clean accomodation, easy access from the main road but quiet and nice area. We highly appreciated the flexibility in checking in as we arrived directly from the airport, 1 hour later than we expected. Kids liked the spacious living room and we had a good night sleep. We got all necessary information from the host in a timely manner.

Deckers Caravan no. 61

We all thought the location was great. It felt far enough out of town to feel like you're away, but close enough to drive to if you needed anything. The hosts supplied the caravan with everything we would need, shower gel, wipes, cleaning products, cooking utensils, cookware etc. There were extra towels, pillows, and sheets available in the cupboard too. Lovely clean and spacious open sitting room and kitchen. Great for games nights or socialising without feeling cramped. Showers in caravans can be a hit or a miss, but we were impressed with this one. Playpark is directly behind the caravan if you're staying with kids.

Only a couple of superficial things - There was only enough space for one vehicle at the property. The allocated parking space (drive) for the caravan wasn't the biggest. We had three vehicles, and two had to park elsewhere on the site. Not an issue in the grand scheme of things, but may become an issue depending on the number of visitors staying with vehicles. The toilet lock was essentially non-existent. The fridge-freezer was too small to pack in a few days' worth of food - but that's expected with caravans. And lastly, the room with two beds is a great size for kids, but not for two adults. We found it very snug shall we say, and that was sleeping in a twin room.

Everything you’d want from a short, scenic, quiet caravan break

Nostalgic, quiet, comfy and simple. View of the Forth was breathtaking.

Some of the tacks in the carpet were a little jagged but we are clutching at straws here. We loved our stay.

Unfortunately not much. The communication and instructions prior to arriving was OK.

The Caravan, the plates and dishes were Dirty, the towels were dirty, all the Caravan window were open on arrival meaning the Caravan was very cold.

Space and arrangement inside the caravan is good.

There is no one to help you. You will not get the facilities that advertised on bookings.com. The owner don't gonna help you. Locks of the washroom is not working. There is not light in the corridor. No gas. You need to ask help from the neighbours. If they wish they will help. There is no wifi, no mobile coverage as well. We booked for three days, when we arrived there is no gas. When I called to the number that I got from bookings.com, a lady took the call and she told she cannot help us, we need to freeze in the night otherwise find somewhere else. We coming from London. And there is no coverage for Vodafone. We were forced to stay. We ask for neighbours help, they come and check the gas cylinder and tbey told there is no gas in the both of the cylinder. And this is happening to all the guests for a long time. She never order a gas cylinder. Heater was not initially working. We got 2 electric heater for the first day from the neighbour lady.

This caravan is great value for money. Has everything you need in a lovely location. Only thing was there were no amenities like bar but the owner did tell us this operates at the weekends so will book again for a Friday - Monday.

Deckers Delight

The things we enjoyed staying at Deckers as we had stayed here before in a different caravan. We used it as a base as we were continuing the Fife Coastal path which was perfect for us. The caravan is spacious, shower was very good, and the beds were comfortable, plenty towels. The view looking over the forth was wonderful, the caravan site itself was friendly, well cared for, the shop has basic items and we didn’t use pub facilities as it was closed on the days we stayed. If your using public transport buses were brilliant and frequent.

I am not one for being negative it is more what could enhance your Deckers caravan stay our disappointment were there is no blackout type curtain/blinds in living room as you watch tv the sun shines right through, the cooking utensils pots/pan etc to enhance your stay seeing as it’s a self-catering facility definitely needs a cheap set of pans/frying pan, chopping knives/board and some cosmetic fixing as blind was off in the toilet and a good through clean as the caravan had a musky smell despite doors and windows open while we stayed in the caravan, it wouldn’t put me off staying again I just feel adding the things I’ve suggested you would have no negative comments.

Very comfortable (bed and shower great!; easy to heat/cool the place; good facilities), quiet, great value for money and in a lovely location.

Wasn't confident in the cleanliness - the towels were dishevelled on the shelf, marked and damp (put there in a hurry, or not cleaned?); there were bits of dirt in the bed (blown in through the window, or someone had slept in there?); table had sticky marks; pans had stuck on food; dish cloths/sponges were used and dirty/had stuck on food.

Location was lovely, clean and very quiet, great views. Caravan was very clean and well maintained also equipped with the necessities.

Our fridge/freezer wasn't working and we only realised on the 2nd day of our stay. Our TV in the lounge was a bit on the the small side,couldn do with something bigger as the lounging aera was big so we had to sit quite close to see the small tv screen.

There were no proper communication how to get to the caravan, and also how to access the the key ? In the caravan they were NO privacy as to having no curtians/ blinds ..we had see thro nets in all the rooms apart from the showroom and toilet room ..

Niet boeken!

De gastvrouw op de camping was zeer vriendelijk.

De caravan was vies, het tapijt in de kleine slaapkamers is al lang niet schoon gemaakt de bedden zijn erg klein/kort. De afzuiger in de keuken werkte niet en alles was vet, handgrepen en jaloezieën, de pannen zat veel vet onder. De toilet en douche vertoonde veel schimmel. We zijn eerder vertrokken en hebben een ander hotel geboekt, we voelde ons verre van comfortabel. Na contact met de eigenaar gaf ze aan dat ze het gaat schoonmaken. Mosterd na de maaltijd.
