Beautiful old manor in the heart of Britany

A beautiful Old manor house in a picturesque area of Brittany. It's pretty much only acesable by car, but so are most things in this area of France. The hosts were exceptional. For an extra fee they brought a large breakfast for us that we ended up eating over 2 days. What a great addition, especially because the location is away from a town. Clean, beautiful and spacious for our family of 5. We would stay here again in a heart beat.

Beautiful setting, great location. The host was very friendly and helpful. The beds were comfy and the hand delivered continental breakfast was plentiful. A stunning end to our holiday.

Fantastic

The hosts, Gwen and Denis are fantastic, very friendly and full of information on the area and the manoir. Our room was just perfect, with a fully equipped kitchen, and the bed was so comfortable. The breakfast was amazing croissants pain au chocolat, bread, jams, orange juice and hot drinks. Do not miss it! Easy parking for the car with very convenient access to the main roadways.

I had the chance to enjoy a wonderful accommodation!!! An extremely charming place, where you can feel pampered not only by comfort but also spiritually. You totally feel the connection with the French spirit, architecture, art, freedom in spirit, intellectual enchantment. I will cherish the memory of this place and recommend it warmly. The hosts are extraordinary. With us they were extremely generous.. especially with the Bonus of time given. Thank you!!!

An enjoyable experience but it could be better with a little more attention to the items mentioned.

The accommodation was a very beautiful, historical, small manor that had been turned into guest rooms.

The room we were given was big and rustic and met our basic needs. However, we did notice that certain areas of the room were quite dusty (eg:the bedside cabinet, tv trolley and floor electrical cables) and could have benefited from a thorough dusting before our arrival. It didn’t appear to have been dusted for quite some time. If would also be helpful to provide basic cleaning products for the accommodation given that the toilet also needed some attention on our arrival, as there was a slight odour on our arrival. Additionally, the shower door chrome area was grimy/rusty near the base and this appears to need some attention. We also found that stepping out of the shower was somewhat hazardous, as the area became quite wet/slippery and it had quite a steep step out of the shower, which could pose a trip risk, when getting out of the shower. Maybe a non-slip mat in the shower might help with this? The dark towels were clean but we were very surprised to see multiple ‘bleach marks’ on them. Addressing these areas of concern would greatly enhance the overall holiday experience and the accommodation for future guests. We also thought the cost of the breakfast was quite expensive for what was presented to us. However, on the whole, we met one male staff member who was very friendly and pleasant throughout our stay.

Every home needs a cat

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by our host, a gorgeous grey cat. She was our calm and quiet companion during our short stay, making the whole place different. The Manoir is very well maintained, with great attention to details, small decorations sending the guests back in time. We will return for sure…hoping to meet again our gracious host and the same serene atmosphere. I hope his owners will take good care of her.

Le manoir one amazing place

A huge thank you to Gwen and Denis amazing hosts, very friendly and full of gréât information on thé area. Le manoir is just so beautiful Thé room is just perfect, fully équipé kitchen. The beds are so comfy Thé breakfast was amazing croissants pain au chocolat, bread, jams, orange juice and hot drinks. I cant reccommend this place enough. Its also in a radius of 30 kms to thé main spots in thé région. Go and stay you wont be dissapointed

Slept like a princess

Amazing building and apartment! Lovely hosts and we had the pleasure and luck to be invited to their annual bbq party! Great place to explore the area!

Nice base for exploring the region

Host was accommodating that we were held up a little past the check-in window. His English was fluent, and offered us some local suggestions on check-in. Well placed between Saint Malo and Mont Saint Michel, and the closer Mont Dol and Dol-de-Bretagne are a charming visit. The kitchenette and local shops handled our needs for breakfast, although the hosts did offer some for an extra charge.

There were minor defects such as a few soft spots in the floor, not surprising for an older property. Bedrooms were rather bare, with no place but the floor to put suitcases. Don't drive into the courtyard! Instead, look for the rather small signs pointing to the parking area.

Breakfast was great but not included. Outstanding location for touring the valley and the small villages. Gwen and Denis the hosts were friendly and helpful in selecting restaurants and towns to visit.

Charming & Welcoming - Highly recommend!

We have spent 4 nights in this countryside retreat, very comfortable rooms, good internet, very friendly hosts, peaceful and beautiful place, great escape from busy daily life. Very close to Saint Malo, Dinard. Our french bulldog felt so relaxed in this cozy accommodation.

The appartment has all what you need (but no pills for dishwasher). Comfortable parking. City is 2 min driving away.

Our part of the house and terrace faced highway. So it was super noisy. Breakfast is not in a hall of the castle but can be delivered to you every morning.

The property was clean and fresh. In an amazing location with friendly owners.

The toilet was very small, basically in a cupboard. Not a complaint but something to be aware of. A full length mirror would be a nice addition!

Very well located, beautiful exterior, very nice hosts. Very comfortable mattress and well-equipped kitchen. Possibility to buy a good ready-made dinner.

The sofa was quite uncomfortable, the shower was broken, and the bed duvet was too hot for the summer (but it was cold without it). The pillows too large - not suitable for children or many adults like myself. The use of long curtains is tricky - there were some in the entrance and then also in the kitchen and bathroom, and they seemed a bit too dusty. Fridge was too noisy for an accommodation without doors.

The place is very calm and cosy. We had a cottage with the private parking and a beautiful small inner yard. Owners were friendly and helpful. It is a great place to stay with kids, as there is a nice playground on territory.

Unique place totally worth staying - like a dream! Very spacious rooms, have everything a family needs. So cosy and comfy we didn't want to leave. Fully equipped kitchen, very convenient bed. Super welcoming hosts. We totally recommend!!

Well equipped, very clean. Owners were very helpful and immediately addressed any questions. Good furnishing, heaters in all rooms. Lovely area to stay, would definitely visit again.

I would bring slippers for next time I stay in winter as the floor is very cold. (This is my problem though, not the accommodation).

Gem of a place with a number of different size apartments for different group sizes

The host and apartment were great, the location was really good with ample parking and just out of town to be peaceful, but close enough to Mont Dol Bretagne for restaurants and bars and a great little town. We stayed as a stopover to catch the early Ferry from St Malo which was an easy 20 min trip to the port. Also Pet Friendly :-)

Welcoming and charming cottage on a perfect spot

It’s a very charming building. The cottage we had was beautiful decorated and made us feel at home. Next to that their was a private garden/terras with a own parking spot next to the cottage. The location is very central to all of high lights in Bretagne. But also don’t forget to visit the small towns of Mont-dol and Dol-de-Bretagne which are very beautiful and are just a 5 minute drive from the property. Last, but not least the hosts are very friendly and caring for their guests. When I had a little accident with my bike, they directly came to aid.
