Bins dirty- kitchen bin broken; no liner in bathroom bin; Brushpan with no brush under sink; No kitchen sponge/cloth; Sharp spike on entranceway to bedroom caused bleeding cut to daughter’s foot; Rusty clothes airer; Noisy boiler situated in corner cupboard in main bedroom; Shabby outside area at rear; Parking permit used 3 out of 5 nights as no spaces on or around the property so 24 hour parking had to be paid for! The road is very run down with lots of noise, particularly a loud barking dog (next door?) which barked for an hour most mornings.

It was big enough for who came. Everyone had a brilliant time and the house was lovely. Very spacious. We came up for my mum's birthday and the owner did a lovely sign for me. Everyone had a brilliant night sleep.

Nothing, wish we could have stayed longer.

It's in the name! The decor is quirky and wonderful, the facilities are great and there's lots of space! The owners are amazing! Left a cute message on the board for our arrival, helped with any questions and even stocked a breakfast pack from a local butcher for a great price! (Was extra but really worth it!)

There's not much to complain about! I would say there's only one parking permit for the property, but there are car parks nearby although they are a little pricey so make sure to factor that into your trip budget! Also, I get lower back pain so the mattresses were way too soft, was a little uncomfortable, but the rest of our group had a good sleep, so think it's just personal preference - but something to bear in mind if you struggle with very soft mattresses.

Location and space

Upon reflection only one bathroom was not enough. Furniture and furnishings- sofas, chairs, mats and beds are very tired and could do with a deep /steam clean. Somemof the matresses and bedding should be replaced as old and worn. One bed was particularly dubious. Oven was left with dirty trays and kitchen utensils were sparse and old or poor quality. Not enough cutlery and utensils - no scissors or colander. Saucepans old. Fridge was not cleaned and lots of bits of ice and packets left in freezer. Issues with heating over both days were attended to immediately. But radiators still not working in back bedroom or kitchen when we left. Throws and a heater were provided but not good enough. Previous reviews shows issue with heating. Had to move sofa to retrieve something and was disgusted to find dust, blown up happy birthday balloons and general rubbish. Bath not clean so 7 of us staying all had strip washes. Occasional smell in hallway when after flushing toilet. Also too many bottles of half used products in bathroom which just gives you the ick. Jo the host was fantastic and her attention to providing a comfortable stay is second to none. However, it is a shame the cleaner is letting you down. We paid a lot of money for 2 nights and this sadly was not worth it.
