About this house rental

An artist inspired tri-level home overlooking a rushing creek in a rural setting just one mile out from the small town of Collbran Colorado.
Well situated for exploring the Grand Mesa, Colorado National Monument, Palisade's biking trails, orchards and wineries, Glenwood's Hot Springs, and for a long days excursion equally distant from Arches National Park and Aspen.
50 minutes drive from Grand Junction Airport through a scenic canyon will bring you to this quiet 6 acre property- well situated for a relaxing active getaway.
At 6300 feet elevation the climate is pleasant- in summer cool nights and warm days.
The Grand Mesa (10,000 feet elevation) is known for summer hiking, canoeing and fishing, and in winter downhill skiing at Powderhorn Resort and cross country skiing on several of the groomed trails on the Grand Mesa along with snowshoeing and snowmobiling.
The town of Collbran has a warm and friendly western atmosphere, with a Saturday farmers market (in season), and all amenities (restaurants, supermarket etc).
Enjoy sleeping with the rush of the clear flowing mountain creek in this comfortably furnished and well appointed property.
A privately situated hot tub sits nearly over the creek off the back deck- a relaxing place to enjoy a morning coffee while watching the day break, or gazing at the stars at night.
Abundant public lands and state parks surround the area.
If you enjoy fishing, you'll have several hundred yards of your own private creek right outside your door to enjoy, along with nearby Vega Reservoir and the Grand Mesa's plentiful lakes.
Canoes and paddle boards are available for rent at Vega Lodge and Mesa Lakes Lodge.
The house is laid out with the primary bedroom on the top level accessed by a spiral staircase featuring a king bed with full bathroom and walk in shower.
The main floor has two bedrooms, one full bathroom and one half bathroom, an open floor space kitchen/dining/sitting area The deck outside offers a five person infinity edge hot tub sitting along the creek.
The half basement has a sitting area with TV, a two person infrared sauna room with bathroom and shower, a sleep chair, exercise bike and weights, yoga mats, and a work desk.
The variety of scenery and nearby landscapes were an inspiration to several of the artists whose paintings are featured throughout the house.
Walk along the quiet dirt road past meadows and pastures with horses for an evening stroll. Seek out the wild mint plants along the creekside trail. Sit and relax along the creek.
