Great place, would highly recommend!

Very easy check in and parking. Very clean and quiet

Only microwave and air fryer made food choices difficult for the week. Bin in kitchen area was very small so I had to empty multiple times

Not good

If you are driving DO NOT stay here. Although it says onsite parking there are two spaces out the front and unless you drive a fiat 500 you are unable to get to the back of the building for the rest of the parking. We circled the surrounding area for 45 minuets at 10pm to find no parking, ultimately we ended up going back home and not staying. Staff were rather unhelpful and all they said was sorry our parking was misleading. Wouldn’t recommend.

Could be a bit more settled

Clean, quiet, comfortable room with clean attached shower room.

Sliding door to shower room was faulty and kept slipping off the rail. Chair was uncomfortable. Expected kitchenette facilities when I booked but given room only.

The flat was actually very nice clean and comfortable, however the issues above put a damper on stay

Entry was easy with a key safe

The rooms were really cold and the heating wasn’t on (in February!) we contacted the management who said they would put the heating on through their app. However it didn’t come on sufficiently and the radiators were still cold in the morning. Parking was also an issue as there were only 2 spaces at the front and parking behind the property was very tight.

Lack of parking - room only for 2 vehicles front! Rear is difficult to get to and saw one car stuck for an hour! Room had a lack of storage for clothing! One metal rack to hang clothes is not adequate!

Fine for a night I guess.

The entry process was seamless. The Wi-Fi was great. Tv was a little tricksy but thankfully someone was still signed in to iPlayer.Thanks ‘Josh & Helen’ The bed was very comfy. The room and bathroom were clean and the towels were nice. A 10/15 minute from Central station and I felt very safe walking home after work.

The parking. I pulled up and there was a space on the front drive, right next to two large industrial red bins…. There was no way I was going to risk driving down the narrow alleyway to park at the rear. The gloominess. The photographer deserves kudos for the promo pics…..I stayed in room 1 which is ground level at the front. The property is on a main road (it wasn’t super noisy though) and so you have to keep the blinds down as you can see in -I checked. There is only one lamp which swivels at will to either light the ceiling or interrogate you Gestapo style so the ‘big light’ had to be deployed. The smell. There was an odd damp smell. Thankfully I randomly had a scent diffuser in my car. The electricity. This tripped (I presume) during the night so no sockets were working the next morning. The starter pack. Apparently guests are issued with this at the beginning of their stay. I was there for six nights and when I messaged (there isn’t anyone on site) to ask for an additional loo roll I was told guests are encouraged to buy their own when their starter pack runs out. Speaking of runs……. The facilities. There was a kettle, microwave, small fridge, a coffee maker of some description, two mugs, one teaspoon. I messaged to ask if there was crockery or cutlery anywhere and was told to look in the brown unit in the hallway. There were two plates and random bits of cutlery. No glasses or bowls. When I looked later in the week there were glasses and bowls which I presume had been retrieved from guests rooms as they checked out.?? I asked if there was somewhere to wash the mugs (and bowl which I bought) as the bathroom sink is tiny (be careful washing your face in that sucker) but was told no. I wasn’t about to go out and buy a bottle of Fairy Liquid…..

Overall a comfortable stay in a clean tidy property

Great location and very clean with a comfortable bed and good shower

Road immediately outside the property was very busy and could be a bit noisy at night access to the car park at the rear of the property is very tight no Glasses for water and a microwave would be a great addition last point that did irritate was the workers who were also staying parked their 2 vans at the front of the property making access to the front door very difficult

Comfortable stay in a nice environment

Modern decor. Easy to access via door code. Fridge, Microwave and kettle in the room. Excellent communication when I had queries. Comfortable bed and good shower.

Great money for value accommodation in a perfect location

Everything really location and price . Bed was fantastic so comfortable. Good communication from host via my booking.com app . Only issue was the TV , it was wireless remote . Meaning you needed a personal STAN / NETFLIX acct etc . But , totally highly recommend this place to stay in Southampton .

Clean and modern venue with great location and facilities

The venue was modern and clean. There was good parking at the back of the property and it was easy to get to. There were good tea and coffee facilities, a fridge and a TV with Netflix and a clean and modern en suite bathroom. I definitely recommend. The staff were helpful and responsive by message.

Not the fault of the venue but the person in the room next to us was very loud late at night.

Clean, secure and an all around nice stay, would definitely stay here again.

The apartment was well maintained and clean. It was well equipped with everything we needed. Check in was very easy as we were given the code an hour before we got there.

There were only a couple things which weren’t amazing. Like a light not working in the room and one window didn’t close properly. Also the car park was very small and not suitable for bigger vehicles (front spaces were good though).

Two very good sized bedrooms with very comfortable beds and good en-suite bathrooms. Clean and tidy with convenient parking space.

Carpet clean but stained. Property exposed to lane meaning had to pull all blinds for privacy but only dim lights. Would have liked a hob/ring for cooking but fine. Could hear people in adjoining apartment just speaking and moving about. WiFi didn’t work throughout stay of two days which meant no entertainment/ability to work. No sign of disruption according to provider website - this is key element of choosing property.

Think calling the rooms deluxe is misleading

I liked the ease of checking in. But was a bit miffed when my request for an earli&er check in, was told £15.00 extra, unless I'd booked direct which would have been free. The bed and bedding was top notch. 👌

UnSettling.

Pleasantly refurbished and renovated building built some time last century or earlier. Clean and well kept. Management helpful Good WiFi. Location is not so good. See below.

We were there for 3 nights, awaiting a cruise. We hoped that Southampton had some attractions to keep us busy, but the city was generally disappointing. Two nights is more than enough. The major problem with this accommodation is if you don't have a car or local mobile plan, you are in trouble. Nowhere to eat unless you went for at least a 20-minute walk and bringing food back for another meal was problematic as the small cool box didn't fit much. Calling a taxi on the internet is hopeless as with no phone number you can't! The management helped us get one, but not being on site, we had to hope they saw our email. Just as we were preparing to drag our suitcases down to the cruise terminal 2 miles away, a bit of an ask for those in their 70s, they responded with a taxi booking. One day, as we were resting, the door burst open, and there stood a man who declared he was there to fix the window! Somewhat unsettling if you are not fully clothed! He could have been anyone. Management later confirmed he was their maintenance man. In summary. I do recommend Settle but with the limitations above.

The location was fine.

The musty smell in the entrance. The room was fresh.This room was in the attic and very hot..The bed is level with the windows so not very private unless you close all the blinds. The stairs to the room are extremely steep and narrow and twisty with the door to the room on the top step. Car parking is also very tight

it was hard to park in the car park. cars were parked so close to the door in the front it wasnt easy to get in. The studio was on the top floor and the door opened off the stairs which were very steep. none of this was made clear in the details.

Comfortable, clean, but choose your floor with care

Very clean studio with nice quality furnishings. No.8's window view was scenic (top floor studio with the bed under the eaves of the house). Very reasonable, honest prices; many other accommodation providers had inflated their prices for that weekend, so credit to Settle for not jacking up their prices too. No.8 was very quiet (top floor attic studio).

If I pay for an early check in, I shouldn't have to phone for the entry code 20 mins before I arrive. This sort of thing makes people nervous about the "receiving entry codes by email an hour before" system. No.8's light fittings are far too low; in attic rooms, headroom is vital and you can't have light fittings hanging lower than the top of the door frame. Don't know how many times I hit my head. Instructions for entering via door codes could be clearer; you don't just have to "cover" the keypad with your hand, you must physically touch it for it to light up. The attic room (No.8) was not a good choice during a heatwave; although a fan had been left, the heat was unbearable until 8 pm. I would recommend ground floor rooms in summer (no's 1 to 3). If you have mobility issues, choose ground floor rooms rather than the attic room with its tight, tricky staircase.

So cramped that there’s barely room for two people. Bare bones and basic in every way. The picture featured above with the property looks like the Taj Mahal compared to the actual room we had - nothing remotely similar.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay 10\10 for the price - extremely clean and lovely decor the coffee machine/mini fridge and the Vietnamese swirl biscuits were a super nice touch! These rooms have everything that is needed for a comfortable stay from the fan to the full sized ironing board and the TV that is already logged into Netflix :D t be room is also very big
