The hosts' father, Tonino, treated me right and saved this rating from being much lower! The apartment is clean and spacious with easy access to the 1st floor by elevator. The bathroom is redone but since the shower is too small I can not give it the higher rating of 8. Grazie per tutto Tonino!
I spoke with the host the day before my arrival and he was not at all interested in assisting me in anyway and only wanted to communicate with text messages! I told him that I was already staying in Fiumicino and if it was possible to leave my luggage before check-in and if someone was able to come and get me by car. He told me that I could not leave the bags early and to call him in the morning to find out if I could get a ride. When I tried to call him the line got disconnected and he just sent me a text saying that the room would be ready at 3pm. Fortunately I was staying at EneaHouse and they let me stay on the property until check-in time and even drove me across town to the apartment as I had a lot of luggage with me! Upon arrival I waited outside the gate for several minutes and then tried to call without success only being able to leave a voice message? After several more minutes with no response I called and again could only leave a message? I began to ask other people their if they knew about the apartment and some told me that it was the wrong place? Finally after about 20 minutes of worrying that I was left at the wrong place, I received 3 text messages giving me the name that is listed on the doorbell, which by the way is not Antonio Fiumicino, and was instructed to open a lock box to get the keys! I ended up needing the help of the Restaurant next door to find it as there a 2 of them and I only saw the one which was wrong! Finally after entering the room over a half hour later, I found only 1 set of towels and only 1 pillow on the bed and this is for a 5 night stay? Also, the room was very hot and I mistook the heating control, which stated that the batteries were low, for being the A/C and so I called again and left another message! Finally, after about 10 minutes the hosts' father Tonino came and we discussed everything that happened as I was very angry at this point.
