Le Maya - Suite tout Confort - Hyper Centre - Proche Gare

We loved Toulouse. Classy and relaxed. The flat's proximity to the train station is a real positive especially when travelling with lots of luggage. We walked each day to various sites across Toulouse although the metro was not far if needed. The accomodation is super bijou but has most things needed and the decor makes it homely and quirky.

The address alone took us to the wrong location initially so reference to the directions in the emailed brochure was needed. The area is not the best but not the worse - a little edgy. As Brits from Cumbria we struggled with the lack of air con as it was 30 degrees and the noise and road fumes meant it was not possible to have the window open all night. My husband swore the place was haunted - not that I was bothered by anything except the heat.

The room itself was a good size for a night or two stop over. The bathroom is modern. Good location for the station.

The main issue was that it was so hot and no way to cool the room. No air came in the windows and the window also opened onto the main street on the ground floor. There is no air conditioning, and although they do not say there is air conditioning in the listing, I would expect at least to be provided with a fan. I didn't sleep for the two nights we stayed there. Also there is no door or the bathroom, so you better be very close with whoever you're staying there with. Finally, I was convinced from the listing that this was a hotel. I even filtered for hotel when searching. It is actually an apartment with a lockbox and I didn't feel the street felt the safest. There were signs in the shared corridor talking about vandalism on the street. It's a cheap find for a place to stay, but it's honestly worth paying more if this is what you get.
