Great value for such a fantastic location right in the centre of Edinburgh.

The downside of being in the centre is that there is a fair amount of noise from the nearby bars.

We travelled for work; we stayed for 7 days. Fern from reception was super upon arrival. We were running later than planned due to a delayed flight, but she was great at communicating with us. The location is excellent, close to everything in the centre. Beds were small but comfy, and my colleague was very pleased with the desk and chair in her room. One of the toilets was missing a toilet seat, but this was fixed the next day, so quick to respond. There is a washing machine and dryer; they were located in a different block from where we stayed, but easy to find, and they are easy to use. We were also given free laundry detergent.

This is kind of the location; be aware that it's right by nightlife, so if that's your thing, amazing, but Saturday and Sunday night it felt like being in the club, while being in my fav club B.E.D. The carpet could do with a bit of a clean in the flat, and the kitchen was a bit tired.

Great location, close to the festival, good internet

While we knew they were student halls, the place was extremely dirty, we had to swap accommodation for one person in our group with another person in our group who was staying elsewhere because the amount of dust from the carpets triggered her asthma. The staff is nice but they're students on summer break and couldn't provide much support.
