Flat has not been cleaned from previous tenants. Used duvets on bed used glasses left in the sink. No house keeping. We had to leave very upset and find a hotel last minute to spend the weekend. They took our money and didn’t issue the refund.

We could not get into the property because I couldn’t open or connect to the messages. I tried phoning the host 5 times starting straight after the initial booking and then 4 times upon arrival to no avail.

Nice but noisy, I wouldn't stay again

The bed was comfortable, the kitchen was fine

The noise, I didn't sleep the first night due to the water pump making a horrific noise every few minutes, I spoke to someone the next morning who talked me through turning the pump off, When it's turned off you have no hot water coming out of the taps or the mixer shower, when someone from the upstairs flat uses the bathroom the noise down the soil stack is extremely loud.

I tried to like it because the revamp was very tasteful, but the downsides were too big to ignore.

The decor, all things considering, was actually overall quite good. The panelling looks and feels pricey, the bed was soft and quite nice. The heating modern and the general furnishing was thought through. Even the bathroom mirror had a Bluetooth speaker in it.

I really wanted to like the place, but outside the above there were some real problems that seriously impacted my ability to really enjoy our stay. One is the area. It's a rough, council area with dodgy individuals and looks. I won't lie, I kept looking out the window to check if my car was still there. Two, the smell. There is a strong smell of mold and damp - that deep disturbing smell you detect in charity shops and old homes. It was deep in everything, even the bed smells of it. And I don't think this is a case of a cleaner not doing their job, it's in the flat itself. Three, there was mold across the bathroom. Enough that I didn't shower the second night and just went home to do that instead. At least it's been raised and I'm sure they'll clean it up, but it's a little worrying it was there in the first place. Finally, the boiler. As others have stated, it is a loud, jarring sound that goes on everytime you use a faucet, but also randomly. So it would wake us up randomly at night. Overall I like what they've done with what they have, but I could have paid very similar money for a cleaner, quieter, better place in the town.

Pleasant stay

Nice apartment in a set of units. Well equipped with everything you need to have a great stay. Quiet location just off a main road with beautiful views from the bedroom. Very clean. Host and staff very responsive to messages and fixed issues quickly. Easy check in.

Sofa bed very uncomfortable and not recommended for an adult. Hot water system very noisy.
