A treasure mansion

I don't usually write reviews, although we are frequent travelers, but this accommodation will always remain in our hearts. Although it looks similar to other accommodation in the area, it is on a completely different level. The property has charm, character, is very well maintained, and the location is unbeatable. If you love the italian charm, don't miss this place. Our room had the best possible 'umbrian' view. Andrea, the host is a warm, involved person, with a lot of knowledge and good intentions.

If the pool had been heated, we would probably have moved here throughout the cold season.

A property that really knows the meaning of customer service

Fantastic welcome from Andrea who went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. Such a lovely peaceful spot with beautiful views of Gubbio in the near distance. Breakfast in the garden each day was such a treat. The pool was very welcome with temps over 30. Will definitely return one day 😍

Beds were quite hard but that seems to be the norm for Italy.

Great villa for relaxation in Umbria

Super friendly host. Nice pool on top of the hill. Stunning view of Umbria mountains and lots a place to walk around. Big room with nice balcony

Umbria Galore in a residence with breathtaking views, elegant and charming apartments and very kind hosts!

Great location and stunning views. Rooms / apartments very clean and have everything you need. Beds are very comfortable. Host Andrea made extra efforts to put sunbeds out or explained Gubbio (very charming!!!) and other day trip destinations. In April it was too cold to use the pool. Would be nice to return in a warmer season.

Unforgettable trip

We spent great time at the hotel. The owner Andrea is one of the kindest person I’ve ever meet. We felt like being his personal guest and not like being at a hotel. The property is very beautiful, clean and all the details were thought with caring. The breakfast was various and rich. Gubbio’s city center (the most beautiful city of Umbria is nearby). This is the place where you would like to return!!!!!

NOTHING!!! Despite negative comments about the road leading to the hotel (basically 2 km off-road) , having a low car we had no any problem. Just move slow! Moreover, the road should be done very soon according to the owner.

Splendid hill top resort close to Gubbio

Beautiful restored farmhouse in lovely quiet and green hills close to Gubbio. Andrea and his mother (who prepares the fantastic breakfast!) are wonderful hosts. Nice pool with a view too. Would recommend this place to anyone.

Perfect place to relax and explore Umbria

Andrea is fantastic host, very friendly and nice but also respects your privacy. The house is charming, built in traditional style with a unique garden. Although the temperature outside was more than 30 degrees every day, the appartment was cold enough that no air conditioning was needed. The appartment was equipped with everything we needed. The whole property was very clean, including the garden and the pool. You can get get a real feel of Umbria while staying at Antica Residenza Montereano. The sorrounding offers nice possibilities for hiking and cycling. You can explore many Umbrian historical picturesque little towns as many of them are less than 1 hour drive away.

wonderful stay & amazing views

We loved our stay so much. My family and I had an awesome time. My husband and I stayed in the large room with the beautiful view, absolutely worth the money! the breakfast was also incredible and one of the best ones we had in Italy. Thank you so much!

Not a dislike but rather a recommendation to bring food for cooking or drive to Gubbio for dinner. Supermarkets are super close and the drive to Gubbio is also very quick.

Panoramic view, position, swimming pool, nature, quit place.

The last kilometers of unpaved road to reach the residence, full of holes and very dusty that dirties and destroys the car. Very dangerous road due to very bad conditions and cramped.

Exceptional

The location of the place is closed to Gubbo and very easy access to Perugia,Assisi and Spello. The view from the house to Gubbio town is breathtaking. The apartment is clean, spacious and beautifully decorated.

Excellent property

This property is simply incredible. As soon as you arrive here you zone out. The garden is huge and very well kept. The swimming pool area is perfect for relaxing and regenerating. Then staff is very welcoming and they gave perfect suggestions for restaurant in the area. We ended up staying only 1 night, but I would have stayed another one for sure. I absolutely recommend this property!

Op en top gastvrijheid op prachtige locatie.

De gastvrijheid van Andrea en Francesca en de prachtige locatie. Gubbio is een heerlijke stad. Mooi landgoed met keurige accommodaties en fijn zwembad. Waanzinnig uitzicht op de omgeving en Gubbio. Fantastische mooie tuin.

Kan geen tegenvaller genoemd worden, want wisten we van te voren, maar jammer dat stad en restaurants alleen met de auto te bereiken zijn, te ver om te lopen.

Nous sommes retournés avec grand plaisir après 7 ans a l’antica residenza Montereano ,qui a beaucoup de charme et qui est très bien placée , avec vue imprenable sur Gubio. Toutes les dotations sont de très grande qualité (literie , cuisine) et la décoration est très soignée. Mention spéciale pour le cadre et la présentation du petit déjeuner et la magnifique piscine. Andrea a été très présent ,disponible et au « petits soins » avec tous les voyageurs. Nous recommandons chaleureusement cette location.

Das Frühstück war sehr gut und wurde im Garten mit einer schönen Aussicht serviert. Die Auswahl war super und jedem Morgen frisch. Es gab eigenen Kuchen, Croissant und an zwei Tagen gab es Tiramisu frisch gemacht, ebenso Käse, Schinken,... . Ein persönlicher Dank an Andrea, den Manager. Er hat wirklich alles getan das unser Aufenthalt immer besser wurde. Ein sehr schönes Haus mit einem super Pool und Anlagen. Vielen Dank für den Aufenthalt bei euch.

Siamo stati molto molto bene, L'appartamento pulito e comodo. La colazione molto buona e completa di dolce e salato. L'esterno bello e tenuto molto bene, i miei due figli di 12 anni si sono divertiti molto. Siamo stati coccolati dal proprietario un ragazzo gentilissimo e molto disponibile. Posto che ci tornerei molto volentieri.

Posto meraviglioso ben curato con moltissimo verde noi abbiamo alloggiato in una camera molto spaziosa e pulita letti comodissimi e credetemi non è scontato noi spesso viaggiamo e la maggior parte non è molto confortevole colazione spettacolare con dolce e salato buonissima posizione strategica per visitare le bellezze dell Umbria proprietari gentilissimi e sempre disponibili ci piacerebbe tornare in estate e goderci il panorama con vista dì Gubbio spettacolare grazie di tutto alla prossima

Incantevole

Montereano è immersa nel verde con vista meravigliosa di fronte a Gubbio. Lontano dal rumore della città, si gode del silenzio e della quiete. Sono stato benissimo! Tutto lo staff è veramente cordiale e accogliente. Gli appartamenti sono molto belli e attrezzati. Indicato per coppie e famiglie. Spero di tornarci d’estate per poter usufruire dell’area piscina. Piacevolmente colpito da questo piccolo angolo di paradiso, consigliatissimo!

Una meravigliosa Residenza storica tra le colline umbre, ma vicinissima a Gubbio. È il luogo ideale per chi vuole staccare dallo stess quotidiano. Colazione fantastica servita con simpatia e camera pulitissima.

La posizione è favolosa difronte la vista dell albero di Natale (più grande d'Italia) illuminato molto suggestivo e nei dintorni colline e campagna. La colazione buona e personale molto disponibile nel soddisfare qlc richiesta.
