Lovely cottage in a convenient location for trips to Matlock and Cromford. Complimentary wine, bread and milk left for us, thank you.

A great place to stay!

Beautifully presented and well equipped. Great shower. Thoughtful touches like night lights on the stairs. Friendly pub (Nelson's Arms) just up the road.

Overall a good place to stay although outside of Matlock.

Quite clean and nice kitchen etc , beds were clean and everything worked fine .

Fire or smoke alarm kept flashing at night in both bedrooms and we couldn’t sleep properly! Sofas a little poor shape and needed cleaning or replacing . Parking a bit of a gamble on the busy street but we managed each day .

Cute 2 up, 2 down modern cottage. Great location, 5/7 minute drive from Matlock and Matlock bath. Nice touch having complimentary wine, bread and a pint of milk 🙂 beds were comfy and both rooms very spacious.

No toilet brush to clean with. I did message the host to ask what the pin for the sky was, as we wanted to watch a film before 9 and wash ignored. Just a courtesy response of no, would have been nice.

Cozy stay at the belmont!

We like the welcome goodies. Wine, bread, and milk. Nice that theres sky to watch. Really good of the host to made an effort to have a book for someinfo where to go etc. Well informed the location of the cottage.

It's not we did not like.. Just a suggestions... the sofa... it will be more nice if there's cover... so even if they dont update it... atleast theres covers like beddings cover... and extra blankets... coz we did not use the duvet but we used the blanket but it's only one in each bedroom...and maybe electric fans and put the BELMONT COTTAGE sign please but over all... we had a comfortable stay and we dont mind going back there.

The cottage itself, the location, the view from the window at the back, the local people and the ambiance of the place. Great to return to my home county for a while! We hope to come back soon..

Lovely weekend getaway

Newly refurbished cottage. Such a lovely welcome with the bread and milk. The bed linen are super soft. Everything is extremely clean.

There is no sound isolation and blackout blinds. Even though, location was great for the trail and bike renting place, it was quite far from the grocery store or good pubs.

Beautiful little cottage - quirky but just what we needed !!

Really lovely little cottage - nicely appointed and had everything in that we expected and more besides. The ‘negatives’….. parking was really difficult ! You take pot luck parking on the street opposite the cottage which made bring clothes / baggage in (and out) a bit of a trial as the road was pretty busy in the morning and evening (it’s a main route and people appeared to completely ignore the speed limit !). The two sofas were really uncomfortable!! I know it’s a petty complaint, but as it’s the main seating in the living room, it would have been nice to have a better set of seats ! The positives however far outweigh any criticism! A beautiful little cottage with beautiful amenities…. The cottage was immaculately clean and tidy and the little welcome hamper was a real treat ! Overall a great stay and highly recommended

Great location and always a bonus when close to the pub . Bed in main bedroom was super comfortable.

Sofa was lumpy and not really enough sitting space for 4 ppl to sit comfortably. Bed in second bedroom also had springs ( lump ) which caused some discomfort

Definitely worth a stay

Beautiful cottage in a beautiful location. Received a nice welcoming gift on arrival.

The downstairs of the property is not made for cold winters. Also disappointed after weeks of travelling that we weren't made aware the washing machine was out of order. Otherwise we would have made other arrangements prior to arriving.

Beautiful place, really well laid out, in excelling condition, very comfortable.

Washing machine not working which was one of the reasons we selected this place. Instead we used the local laundromat. It would have been helpful to know this ahead of time.

Super friendly host, property easy to find and access. Beautiful little cottage, welcome basket was a lovely personal touch plus flowers, milk in the fridge and teabags, coffee etc. Very clean and cosy with all the equipment we could possibly need. The local area was so pretty and everyone we met were so friendly. We had a few drinks at The Nelson Arms, such a cosy little local. Overall we had the best time thank you so much ❤️

Parking was roadside but obviously this is unavoidable and there were plenty of spaces to park.

Very clean and in a convenient location to explore the Peak District. Owner left a welcome basket for when we arrived which was a nice touch. He was also easily contactable for anything we needed during our stay.

Everything. The property was absolutely gorgeous. The little added touches (the pictures and the flowers) really made it! The property owner was helpful. When we arrived there was milk tea and coffee available straight which was needed and very much appreciated! Also a lovely little welcome basket. The cottage is unbelievable. I’ve cooked all week even a whole roast dinner and the facilities were brilliant! Really close to Matlock. Quite little village. Never had an issue with parking. Honestly blown away with the value for money!

Reliable, helpful and COSY

SO clean and super cosy with a lovely welcome basket. I actually thought the pillows were so comfortable that I had a peek at what brand they were and ordered some to be delivered for when I got home! Also, we accidentally left our iPad and the host was king enough to have it delivered back to us and was so helpful.
