Homely cottage in a great location. Perfect size for 4 adults. Information provided on history of cottage and places to try locally along with a nice welcome pack. Beds were very comfortable and overall had a very homely feel.
Road outside busy with local traffic and not much sound insulation. So if you are a light sleeper bring your ear plugs 😊

we had a problem with a water leak that was dealt with quickly and efficiently.

if i were being picky a larger TV would be nice as we are both nearing retirement and our eyes are not as good as it used to be.
upstairs radiators didn't get very warm, maybe need bleeding.
but a very nice cottage and we will return.

The location was amazing, seconds walk to everything you need. The village has a bistro, chip shop, coop and loads of other cute shops
Parking was sometimes difficult but it could have been due to the Christmas season

Well furnished, comfortable and spacious. Great location in the middle of a lovely town, close to all amenities. Lots to do nearby and very central for the rest of the Derbyshire Dales. Really friendly and helpful owners. Very dog friendly cottage and town. Several friendly pubs in Wirksworth, but only one serves meals. However several others which do are only a short drive away and there are plenty of other food options in the town.
One thing to note, if you do bring a dog, is that there is no garden or rear courtyard and the front door opens directly onto the pavement. However the cottage description doesn't suggest that there is any outside space and there are plenty of walking areas close at hand.

Lovely cottage with great facilities. It was also close to shops, pubs and restaurants. Dog friendly.
Can't think of anything I didn't like

Great location, Wirksworth is a lovely small town with plenty of eateries and small independent shops. The cottage was very well equipped, beautifully furnished and comfortable.
Parking could be an issue but we didn't have any problems due to it being a weekend. Would have liked some shower gel in the bathroom and the glass in the bathroom was dirty.

it was a quaint property, well presented, everything needed was provided and a lovely welcome basket of a few food bits and bottle of Prosecco.
struggled with the shower unit - water temperature was a little erratic. Also had a problem with retrieving the key from the key safe (and putting it back when we were vacating the property) but I think that was more because I'd never used a key safe before so kept doing it wrong rather than an actual problem with the key safe!
Overall we had a really enjoyable stay and were pleasantly surprised at how secluded it felt, even though it was right on the street.

The cottage was comfortable and cozy and had everything we needed.
No parking with the property so we had to drive around for a while when we arrived but we did find street parking spaces eventually.
