Home from home, so cosy!

Beautifully cosy, deceivingly big!!! Had everything you would need and more. Excellent value for money, lovely stay ☺️

Everything was perfect we couldn't have asked for any more. And the bathroom had a lovely big shower and bath.

The stay was to relax and recharge linked to a family bereavement.

Once inside it was easy to relax.

The development works which were taking place they were unfortunate but will hopefully enhance the opportunities for new guests when completed.

Wish we stayed longer.

The place was cute, comfy and clean with quality beds, plenty of towels and the extras were great. Host was nice and available. What excelled for me was check out time , not having to rush to leave made the experience so much better. Will definitely check availability here when in the area next.

Honestly I can’t think of anything. There was some building work going on but didn’t affect our stay and it’s intriguing to see the place when finished. Looks like it’s going to be an amazingly beautiful place.

Absolutely perfect

It was absolutely perfect. Will 100% be booking again. Perfect for a quiet girls get away. Staff were lovely, chatty and helpful. Couldn't have been any better.

Blackbrook lodge cabin

Location is brilliant. Just in front of a small lake. Close to Carsington water and hiking country. Quiet site with restricted access. Fob entry and exit. Very safe for families. Lodge was excellent.

we had a lovely stay, the lodge was so so nice- looks exactly like the pictures, would recommend

really nice area, exactly like the pictures and really good value for money

the wifi did not work at all for us despite doing what the host had said to do several times, also had a weird smell coming from the fridge

Great, would recommend to anyone.

The location was great, particularly as it was only ten minutes away from Carsington Water where I was doing the half-marathon. You have a lovely view of the lake/pond right by the lodge, and the hosts were great in helping with WiFi issues, and also a fan for my pregnant wife!

Flies! Nothing that could be done about it in the heat and humidity that weekend, and the hosts were very helpful in supplying fly paper to try and clear them but it was the only downside to a great couple of days away.

Great little find.

Perfect little cabin. I was worried it would be cold but it was so toasty and easy to control the heating. Lovely towels. Very friendly hosts and easy check in. Would have been handy to have some tea/coffee and some shower gel but otherwise brilliant.

Really enjoyed the stay and the fishing was good too.

Location was great, less than 20 miles to Alton Towers. Only 10 miles to Derby city centre.

Could have done with another door between master bedroom and second bedroom.

Stayed in The Lodge, so comfortable so many little touches to make it feel like a home. All you could need in the kitchen. A little oasis of peace, beautiful grounds. Very friendly staff. Will go again.

As we had our dog with us it would have been nice if the area in front of the living room had had a full fence so we could have kept the doors open

Amazing place, give it a try

The location was perfect. Right next to a fishing pond that was stocked well with decent fish. Almost in middle of nowhere so walking is great. Some really good bars close by, one with discount for staying here. Hosts are great, so pleasant and helpful. Small shop on site for essentials and some villages 10 mins away for a bit of retail therapy. Apartment was immaculate. Everything you could need was there with a beautiful private balcony over the pond to fish from or just chill with a hot or cold drink. Very comfy beds too, even the bunk beds! Amazing value for money. Dog friendly :) Me and the mrs want to go back soon. I will be fishing again while the mrs and daughter will be doing the half hour drive to Alton towers again. We would advise everyone reading this review to try this site, we completely fell in love!

Top Quailty accommodation in an amazing countryside location. A really chill experience. Joe (the manager) is friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble.
