Villa Sainte Geneviève

Location to the beach is excellent and the beach is beautiful. Bus stop right outside, great value for easily getting into town. Also, locations to restaurants, cafes and patisseries locally all brilliant and great local supermarket. Saint Malo town lovely to visit and explore. The bathrooms all good and layout means different families can easily have a different floor each. Bedrooms comfortable and clean. Great to have off street parking, we fitted two cars on the drive without having to worry with the garage.

The villa has so much potential to be amazing, so is a little disappointed with the finishing touches, especially to the outside space is lacking. More planting/privacy would be great and more chairs and outside cushions to actually use the outside tables, and everyone have a seat if the house was full of guests. (Similarly for amount of sofa space inside) Similarly, we only had 6 people, but struggled with amount of matching glassware, tablemats, chopping boards etc. Feels like the kitchen equipment really needs an overhaul/refresh. Security of property left us very disappointed. Two of the patio doors didn't lock, one was repaired after we complained, but one is still broken, using a make shift repair! Side and front gate and through garage also do not lock, so felt a little vulnerable as tourists leaving valuables in property. A photo of the front of the property would be helpful for finding it on check-in day, especially on such a busy road.

The location next to the beach was the best feature. The beds were very comfortable and the house was very clean. A short car trip to large supermarkets and St Malo. We had 9 people, 3 families and it worked well with the rooms.

Just beware the parking is tight for two cars and internal staircases are a little steep for anyone with mobility issues.

L’aménagement moderne, fonctionnel et qualitatif des espaces. Les petits plus : café, thé à disposition à notre arrivée très apprécié (sauf si c’était aux clients précédents !) Le confort avec un nombre de SDB et WC approprié à la capacité d’accueil.

L’établissement était parfait si ce n’est que le ménage n’était pas terminé pour notre arrivée (une chambre non faite et lave vaisselle non vidé)

The location was good, one street away from the ocean. There is a large backyard.

The washing machine didn’t work and didn’t get fixed. The plancha also didn’t work. The bed were not comfortable. It was noisy in the evenings because many bedrooms face the street.
