Space is smaller in person however is very clean and very well situated. Location is premium. Staff was also very kind and attentive.

The team that work at the front desk were all so amazing, they really made our trip feel special. They were also so kind and helpful when I sprained my ankle to help direct me to a hospital and set up a taxi to get me there. They went absolutely above and beyond!
The room was perfect for my family, the hotel was the quietest hotel for our entire trip. We would absolutely stay here again, and if we return to Japan we would definitely stay here or we would try another one of the Section L hotels.

Section L Yushima-Ueno is a great place to base yourself in Tokyo. It has large rooms with a kitchenette and a washing machine. Great to have if you are staying for a few days or more. The rooms are spotlessly clean and very practical.
The staff at reception are very relaxed and helpful. All seem to be fluent in English so if you are new to Japan they can give excellent guidance. I think the Ueno area is a great place to base yourself. There is so much on offer within easy walking distance. It is easy to get on the Yamanote metro line to get around the city. Also it is very handy to the Ueno station which has Shinkansen and Narita airport connections.
