A 17th-century building combining whitewashed walls, vaulted rooms, and a respect for authentic materials, La Gardette will charm you with its intimacy just a stone’s throw from the center of Gordes.
Ideally located within the “Golden Triangle,” atop a hill, this home offers a sense of peace and absolute tranquility—perfect for spending wonderful moments with your family! Everything is designed for relaxation and togetherness! There’s something for everyone, from naps and pétanque to swimming. A dreamy Provençal retreat.
The garden offers a magnificent panoramic view of Mont Ventoux and the village of Murs. This same garden, designed to conserve resources and beautifully maintained by Marilou with a carefully selected array of Mediterranean plants, will delight you with its flowers and fragrances, inviting you to stroll and discover its many varieties. A swimming pool, pétanque court, and ping-pong table round out the outdoor activities available.
The house itself features two beautiful bedrooms, each with a private bathroom. Each bedroom has a separate entrance, if desired, to ensure privacy. You’ll also have access to a large, fully equipped kitchen and a spacious living room.
Numerous hiking trails are accessible from the property, allowing you to reach Sénanque Abbey, the village of Gordes, or Venasque, among others. You’ll be ideally situated to explore all the magnificent villages that make up the Luberon on foot, by bike, or by car.
Immerse yourself in this beautiful, unspoiled, and picturesque region—you’ll be sure to want to return and experience a taste of authentic Provence.

Well, my experience was probably 3-4 star since bad weather knocked out power, causing several issues, including making the swimming pool unusable. However, that was a fluke and this is really a 5 star property, thus the 5 star review. The setting is spectacular and the house itself (part of a triplex) is a very historical building renovated in a beautiful modern fashion. The back yard with a pool, amazing sitting area, and petanque court are just great. The front entry area is also lovely. The property is very quiet. The BEST part of our experience, and part of why I am leaving a 5 star review despite some issues, was the concierge who checked us in and answered many questions and solved some problems throughout our stay. Her name is Manou and her English is perfect and she is just a wonderfully sweet and helpful person. The owner is lucky to have her. I would return, including for a longer stay--maybe a month. Merci!
