Portie Deluxe Suites by DA'HOME

Excellent location for staying out of the busy city. We stayed 3 nights in Porto city centre then spent 5 nights at Portie Suites. Rooms are lovely, we stayed in one with access to terrace. Rooms cleaned daily. The Tram stop is right outside. If you are active you can walk back into Porto (about 5km), good selection of places to stop and have a beer or cocktail to rehydrate along the way. Also Lime bikes/scooters outside. In the other direction are lots of sandy beaches. Great restaurants nearby and within walking distance, quiet and relaxing area. Great Uber access and very cheap if you want to head back to city centre.

Property was really lovely, it would be even better if the a corkscrew was available in rooms !

We had an excellent stay at portie. It was super clean, very nice room and bathroom and super nice patio to chill outside, the colours where so comforting, the quality of everything and the design were amazing. Loved the shower. The location was perfect for us. Close to the beach and very quiet. The start of the old tram way was just right in front of the hotel which was perfect. With an uber ride it was just a 10 minute drive to porto center or really just anywhere that you wanna go. The communication to the staff was perfect, nice and courteous. They were very helpful and caring.

The mattress was slightly firm and i wished it had a second blanket so you dont have to share just one. It gives me a better sleep. But thats really personal.

Location is great. Overlooking the sea and right at the end of the tram line so a great spot to get to and from the city centre

The service at this property and value has plummeted. This was our third visit when I rated them 10/10. Things have changed for the worse. No staff on site. Incredibly unwelcoming check in. It’s now all done remotely: we had received no email about this change so it took us several phone calls to find someone human to speak to. We were then emailed conflicting instructions. Another couple were trying to check in too and they were upset and overwhelmed by the whole process. Shocking service although we eventually spoke to someone called Caterina who was very helpful. Our room smelled of drains, the shower needed fixing and part of the curtain came down when we opened them. Reqllly frustrating not having someone on site. The check in was worse than a travelodge experience We were eventually moved (on the second day) to another room which was fine. I did ask for a 50% refund and am still Waiting for this.
