This was the most hospitable inn I stayed in. The staff was phenomenal. Both Japanese and Western breakfasts were elaborate and amazing. The overall atmosphere created a very memorable experience

The staff was incredibly welcoming and read every wish from our lips. The facilities, despite partially being over 100 years old, are in wonderful condition and everything was perfectly clean!

It is a bit of a walk from the train station - just keep that in mind when planning your travels. The location made for a calmer atmosphere however, which we appreciated. There are also no showers in the rooms - which is in line with the traditional ryokan style, but also something to keep in mind.

Our stay at this ryokan was nothing short of exceptional. The rooms, as well as the entire property, are absolutely beautiful, spotless, and impeccably maintained. Every detail reflects the care and dedication that goes into creating such a special place. The breakfast was outstanding, with both the traditional Japanese and the Western options being delicious and beautifully prepared. It was truly one of the highlights of our stay. What makes this ryokan truly unforgettable, however, is the experience itself. The owner and every member of the staff welcomed us with extraordinary warmth, kindness, and genuine hospitality, making us feel at home from the very first moment. If you’re looking for an authentic Japanese ryokan experience, I cannot recommend this place highly enough. It is a truly wonderful place to stay, and I’m certain you won’t regret choosing it.

Helpful and friendly staff. Gorgeous building that we felt history. It was set up to relax and enjoy the stay, not just to sleep and rest. The breakfast was lovely, too.

Taxi is the only way to get there. the staff was very helpful to make sure we can reserve one. But without it, we may have run into trouble getting around.
