Kapitano Apartments

The apartment was right above Corso Umberto, the street in Taormina where the main shops and restaurants are located. It was great to open our window to see the bustling crowd outside. You can walk out of the apartment and down a short flight of stairs to get to the main street. The apartment was very clean and bright. The owners put in the effort to modernize the space, so it felt very refreshing to be in a well-let space. I was very impressed the minute I walked in the front door.

I didn't know that when I booked the apartment, you weren't able to drive up and drop off luggage. There is a parking garage 5 minutes away, so it's relatively close by. Love the apartment, so I'll be prepared when we come visit again.

Location was difficult to find. The host did provide landmarks which helped. We used a code to enter the property but it took quite a few tries before we got in. The host did agree to a 1 hr later check out which was appreciated. We stayed one evening beginning of June. We were a family of 4.

A few things that could be improved upon - there were no instructions on how to operate the coffee machine - we tried to look it up but still didn't get coffee. There was only packaged cookies offered for the morning. There were no paper towels or tea towels to wash cups or dishes. No instructions on where to find some kitchen items such as utensils. They are located in the tv stand in the living room. A bottle of water was included in the fridge which was appreciated. No toiletries were offered such as shampoo/conditioner.
