About this house rental
Our KerDesAmis vacation home is located in Pénestin (Haut-Pénestin neighborhood), on the picturesque Guérande Peninsula, situated southeast of the very popular Gulf of Morbihan.
The sea is just a short walk from our vacation home. The bay at Loguy Beach, located 300 meters from our home in a romantic setting, invites you to enjoy swimming, collecting seashells, and relaxing whenever you like. By taking the romantic coastal trail “Entre mer et Vilaine,” you’ll discover magnificent views of the sparkling sea all the way to the idyllic Mine d’Or Beach, which stretches three kilometers and slopes gently downward. Come discover this absolute paradise, especially for families.
The KerDesAmis house is located on a cul-de-sac with a private area reserved for residents—a quiet setting, perfect for children and anyone seeking peace and quiet.
A COASTAL HOME—RECENTLY RENOVATED FOR ULTIMATE COMFORT:
Our KerDesAmis vacation home consists of a main house and an annex.
The main house features, on the first floor, a large living room and a dining room with an open kitchen (including a large, practical kitchen island) and a fireplace. There is a piano in the house, perfect for lively evenings. There is also a bedroom and a modern bathroom on the first floor.
On the upper floor of the main house, you’ll find a large master bedroom, another comfortable bedroom with a view of the sea, and a bathroom that opens onto the garden and features a large, nearly walk-in Italian shower (1.40 m by 0.9 m). All rooms are beautifully decorated with artwork. The gentle lapping of the waves and the breeze carrying the scent of the sea through the tall pine trees in front of the house help create a seaside atmosphere.
On the first floor of the annex is another living room with a pool table, a TV, and a sofa (which converts into a double bed measuring 1.60 m by 2 m). There is also a third bathroom with a large walk-in shower, a toilet, and a sink. On the first floor of the annex is a children’s bedroom with a view of the sea, a large play area, and two bunk beds that can accommodate up to four children. The four beds each measure 0.90 m by 2 m.
The 700 m² lot is divided into a front and a back section. In front of the vacation home is a gravel courtyard where up to three cars can be parked. In addition, six large pine trees line the property line along the private road. Behind the house lies the large, sunny garden. A covered, wind-protected patio is perfect for al fresco dining. The shed houses all the patio furniture, as well as the washing machine.
THE SURROUNDING AREA—ALL KINDS OF THINGS TO DISCOVER:
Pénestin is a charming little village not far from the coast. The village center is just a few minutes away by bike or car. There you’ll find restaurants, bars, fishmongers and greengrocers, bakeries, and a market held twice a week in the summer. In short, it’s a picturesque little Breton coastal town.
For our active vacationers, the Guérande Peninsula offers all kinds of activities. Cyclists have access to an extensive network of bike paths specially designed to let them explore the peninsula at their own pace. Road cyclists will appreciate the quiet, well-maintained country roads, which also offer some challenges in terms of elevation changes. Water sports enthusiasts will find their paradise just a few minutes’ drive from the vacation home, at the Pénestin Nautical Club and the Wing Foil School: sailing, windsurfing, wing foiling, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, and much more.
Climbing parks, equestrian centers, and animal parks in the immediate vicinity ensure that our younger guests have an exciting vacation.
Le KerDesAmis is also located in a beautiful region perfect for exploring the countryside and getting to know its people. The Gulf of Morbihan and the beautiful medieval town of Vannes are just over 30 minutes away. Even closer is the romantic town of Guérande, with its charming shops, artists’ studios, and numerous cafés and crêperies. For those who want to see how Brittany’s “white gold” is harvested, a guided tour of the salt marshes south of Guérande will show you how salt workers extract the fine “fleur de sel” (the finest salt crystals) here, following a centuries-old tradition.
