Really gorgeous place, conveniently located right by the ferry. There are a couple of restaurants (but we came out of season so only one was open) and a small shop selling ice cream and essentials. The owners were lovely and helpful. There are red squirrels, jackdaws and close the sea swimming spot and walks in the woods. We enjoyed the sauna and cooling off in the pool!

Perfect lodge in Linanäs, Ljusterö.
Besim and his family were so welcoming, and made this the perfect retreat in the Stockholm archipelago. We made full use of the pool, sauna, lounge, and kitchen and BBQ facilities. The bedroom was cosy and comfortable; warm, but we had a fan to keep us cool in the hot weather. The shared lounge area is modern and has plenty of seating, cooking facilities, and a big tv (the world cup was on when we visited). There is a separate kitchen and BBQ in the pool house, all of which is available to guests.
Easily reached by regular ferries from central Stockholm, including the steamship Storskär, which we were pleasantly surprised to find served the route.
Linanäs is quiet, with a small shop and a couple of restaurants, and a fairly regular ferry service to Vaxholm and other islands in the archipelago.
