Peace View Kea

The apartment was spacious and spread across 3 floors. It had 2 lovely balconies and the area was very peaceful with ample parking available for our car. The house was exceptionally well equipped, with everything we could have needed and more. Thoughtful extras such as a clothes airer, toiletries, rubbing alcohol, cotton buds, plenty of plates and kitchen bowls, Tupperware, ice cubes, aprons, and many other essentials made our stay very comfortable. The owners were friendly and accommodating, allowing us to check in earlier and check out later, which we really appreciated. The location was also convenient: within a 15-minute drive, we could reach three nearby beaches as well as the island's main town.

The owners live in the same building, in a small semi-basement apartment. The property has two bedrooms: one on the first floor and another on the semi-basement level (-1). The lower bedroom is separated from the owners' apartment by only a thin connecting door (brown door shown in the photos), so we could hear conversations and everyday noise almost as if we were in the same room. We assume the same was true in the other direction. As a result, it didn't feel private enough, and at night the noise and voices from the owners' apartment were quite noticeable, even as late as 1 a.m. Better soundproofing or improved separation between the two apartments would make a significant difference to guests' privacy and comfort. The other issue is that there was absolutely no cellular signal in the area which means we had to rely entirely on WiFi. Unfortunately, the WiFi only worked in the living room/kitchen area. The main router was located in the owners’ apartment and the property was served by a WiFi extender resulting in a weak signal that did not reach either of the bedrooms. The property could benefit from an extra hairdryer. It was 4 of us and had to share the only one we could find.
