Traditional Arch House Paros

The house itself is beautiful, tastefully designed and located in a wonderful, peaceful part of Marpissa. Kalliopi was always very friendly, responsive and helpful, although we never met her personally. Her husband picked us up from the port when we arrived and also drove us back when we left, which was extremely convenient and much appreciated. There are, however, a few things future guests should be aware of, especially for a longer stay. There is no housekeeping during the stay and no regular towel or linen change, and guests are expected to take their rubbish to the collection point themselves. Fresh towels were provided immediately and without any extra charge when we asked for them, and a proper broom was also provided upon request. Whenever we needed something, Kalliopi was very accommodating. The house has very little natural daylight, with only one window apart from the entrance door, so the interior can feel quite dark during the day. We also experienced some drainage issues in the bathroom during our stay. Just worth noting that the two sleeping areas are open and have no doors between them, so there is limited privacy. This was visible in the photos and therefore not unexpected. Overall, it is a beautiful and very peaceful place with a genuinely kind and responsive host. However, the accommodation requires a little more self-maintenance than some guests might expect, particularly during a longer stay. I think the fact that there is no housekeeping and that guests are expected to take care of things such as rubbish themselves should be communicated more clearly in the listing.

The Wi-Fi connection was somewhat unstable and repeatedly disconnected, requiring us to reconnect and log in again.

We spent two days and it has been amazing. We asked for an early check-in and the owner was there at our arrival. The apartment was very clean and very fresh! Walking distance there are supermarket, a bakery and couple restaurants and snack bar. If I go to Paros in the future, I will choose it again!
