Old Riga Cozy One Bedroom Apartment

The apartment is in an excellent location for exploring Riga. A Rimi supermarket, a city market, a bus station, tram stops, and other public transport options are nearby. The building is old and located in the Old Town. Unfortunately, the building has a musty smell of dampness and mould when you enter. However, the apartment itself is excellent, modern, and newly renovated. There were three of us, but I would say the apartment is better suited to two people, as the sofa bed in the living room isn't comfortable for sleeping. The apartment was fully equipped with everything we needed, from kitchenware to small household appliances. Communication with the hosts was excellent. Whenever we had a question or encountered a problem, they responded quickly and resolved it without delay.

What I did not like was the noise, especially on Friday and Saturday nights. There is an internet café across the street from the building, where people stay until 4 or 5 a.m., shouting and making noise while drunk. There was even a fight outside the building, with bottles being smashed. In the neighboring apartment, a couple was arguing, talking loudly, and having very loud sex, which made it difficult to sleep. This was particularly disappointing because the apartment rules clearly state that excessive noise is not allowed after 10 p.m.

Great accommodation with everything nearby, including a bus station just 600m from the building. It was peaceful, quiet, and perfect for a good night’s sleep. The hosts were helpful and check-in went smoothly. Latvian hospitality is fantastic, and I’m definitely looking forward to returning someday. Thank you!
