The Astra Sky River Condominium Rooftop Pool

Great location 20 min walk from lots of stalls, night markets and shops. Modern building really well maintained with the massive pool on the top as the highlight The apartment was a good size for two people, comfortable bed, large shower and kitchen facilities for basic cooking. AC and Wi-Fi worked well for our stay 7/11 across the road as well as a shopping complex Good security in the building Gym was small did have to wait for machines some times but was clean and did the job Hosts were responsive and friendly over text - one slight improvement would have been the day before check out I text to ask could we leave at 11:30 instead of 11:00 however they ignored this text and only opened my messages once I had sent the picture of us returning the keys and never replied to either- very small issue but just would have left with a better lasting impression if our request was answered and a small note to say thanks and bye would have been appreciated instead of dead silence.

There were a lot of ants on the kitchen counter on our arrival - we cleaned them ourselves and used the bug spray provided which did slow them down but they still came up occasionally from behind the cabinets and fridge. There was also a large collection of ants coming from behind the AC unit in the bedroom which was fine at the start of the stay but they did eventually start to move along the bedroom walls and down to the floor- again the spray worked fine but was inconvenient and made the place feel a bit dirty. Otherwise would have been 10/10 ( maybe getting a professional in to bug spray would solve the problem) The couch was very worn out and could do with replacing

The property is well located and the air conditioning is very good. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom clean. The roof top pool is very beautiful but we weren’t able to take full advantage due to there being no pool towels provided.

There are signs everywhere indicating tourists, travellers, and backpackers are prohibited from staying for day or week rentals. This really concerned us as we were worried out whole stay that we could get kicked out or punished by the building management. There were also no pool towels available, only two shower towels, which meant we weren’t really able to use to pool (especially given the signs all around the pool threatening fines if you dripped water and didnt towel dry off enough). There were also only two tiny garbage bags, for a 6 night stay this was difficult to work with. While beautiful and well located, I am concerned about this no tourist rule and the many, many fines threatened by signage in the building.
