About this house rental
Enjoy fishing, swimming and relaxing from our new composite dock with bench and ladder.
Book your getaway to relax and enjoy what Otter Lake has to offer. In our "home away from home" we provide many amenities--towels, hotel quality linens, blankets, pillows, utensils, dishes, pots and pans, USB chargers, 70" smart TVs, WIFI, blu-ray player, board games, puzzles. A high chair and pack 'n play are available upon request.
Our home is newly remodeled to allow for large groups to be under one roof. As you step into the lake house, you will see a game room with Connect 4 on the wall, a Pac-Man console arcade game, a turn-table with a variety of albums and a Karaoke machine. The game room has a wall-mounted 70" smart TV with (4 ) floor level game chairs.
Also located on the main level are 3-bedrooms (all with king size beds), 2-bathrooms (1 full and 1/2). Bedrooms have black out curtains. The laundry area is in the same room as the 1/2 bathroom. Kitchen with eat in area, open dining area and family room. Patio sliding door open to the balcony. Spectacular views of nature and a path to Otter Lake.
Our private dock is about 450 ft from the house and on Otter Lake! There is so much wild life around Otter Lake to enjoy.
The kitchen is fully stocked with the usual suspects--electric oven, glass stove (5) top burners, side by side refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave. We have some fun items--an ice maker and a designated coffee/tea/hot cocoa area--coffee pot/single serve, stove top kettle, electric tea kettle, along with various sweeteners, non-dairy creamers, coffees and teas. We have included various barware, platters for your entertaining needs. The kitchen eating area can seat (4) and the dining room area has tables and benches to seat approximately 14 more.
The lower level has 2-bedrooms; one of the bedrooms has two queen size beds, the other bedroom has 2-sets of bunk beds (full size bed on the bottom and twin size bed on top). The bedroom with 2 queen size beds also has a office/study area with a desk and some office/study amenities. The lower level has a full bathroom with shower/bathtub.
The lower level also was set up with fun things to do. It has a couch with 70" smart TV, a full size ping pong table, board games and coloring pages for the artists. Something for everyone to enjoy both inside or outside of the home.
Long list of items available for you to enjoy outside--charcoal grill with starter supply of charcoal/lighter fluid, fire pit, kayaks, canoe, stand-up paddle boards, corn hole and other outdoor games. We provide our guests with a limited supply of fire wood.
Otter Lake is a 15-acre lake with a maximum depth of 40 feet. It is part of the Chain O' Lakes. It's secluded enough to enjoy quiet lake life yet a short distance to see the action on the chain. Fish include Panfish, Largemouth bass, Northern Pike and Walleye. The lakefront is deep. We recommend going to the beautiful local beach which is about a 10 minute drive from the home or a sandbar on the chain for swimming.
Take a short stroll or drive and spend the day in downtown Waupaca, visit one of the neighborhood restaurants or bars. Enjoy the live entertainment at Clearwater Harbor Restaurant and Bar, watch the Chain Skiers perform or book a narrated cruise touring Waupaca's Chain O’ Lakes during the summer months.

The Lion on Otter Lake in Waupaca WI is well stocked home, going beyond than was is reported with many towels, dishes for all 14 guests, laundry supplies, amply paper products, numerous life jackets, countertop ice maker, an extra fridge in the garage and even yoga mats. We enjoyed yoga outside on several days in the beautiful sunshine! It is a walk to get to the lake which includes a steep slope or short narrow steps via fireplace which was somewhat difficult for the elders in our group to manage. The pontoon boat is incredible and has a great ladder to get in and out of boat for swimming. A great place!

We booked this property to celebrate my husband's 30th birthday with some friends. We loved the privacy out in nature and enjoyed sightings of deer and turtles during our stay. Our hosts provided all amenities we could ever want, including kayaks and SUPs, and each person/couple was able to have their own bed. We had a wonderful time.
