We stayed at this property for a weekend in Cardiff while attending a concert on the Saturday evening. Due to the distance we were travelling, we decided to make a full weekend of it.
In terms of location, it’s very convenient for Cardiff city centre and easy to access along the river. However, the surrounding area itself wasn’t great. We didn’t feel particularly safe leaving our car outside, and it definitely wasn’t somewhere we felt comfortable walking around at night — especially not alone.
The property itself was just OK. It was reasonably clean and well equipped with kitchen utensils and bathroom toiletries. However, it was extremely uncomfortable for both sleeping and relaxing. The sofa wasn’t suitable for sitting back and relaxing, and the beds were very poor. Myself, my husband, and our friend all came home with bad backs after the stay, and the pillows were also very uncomfortable.
The furnishings and décor felt very basic and cheap, which unfortunately reflected in the overall comfort. We were grateful it was only a two-night stay, as we would have struggled to stay longer due to how uncomfortable it was.
That said, it is worth noting that the property was very reasonably priced for the size and location, especially compared to other accommodation available that weekend, which is ultimately why we chose it. However, the basic furnishings and lack of comfort did impact our overall experience.
