Incredible stay in a beautiful hotel

We had an incredible experience at Colima 71! The room was spacious and cozy. We loved having a kitchenette and dining area. When you’re staying in a hotel for five days it’s wonderful to have the extra space and amenities. The staff were fantastic, extremely responsive and knowledgeable. The we’re just a What’s App away and that was very handy. We enjoyed the breakfast each morning and were grateful to have that included and looked forward to it. The bed was very comfortable and the room was silent, we slept soundly each night. The location was perfect, there are incredible restaurants and bars just steps from the hotel. We couldn’t have stayed in a better spot in Roma Norte.

ROBBED of $10k worth of items. DO NOT STAY HERE!! Left for a night out and laptops, etc stolen.

It was nice until we were robbed.

DO NOT STAY OR YOU WILL BE ROBBED. My wife and I were having a great stay until we went out one night to a concert and came to find several value items missing, including two work laptops, diamond earings, a handbag, airpods, etc. The hotel was understanding at first, but tried their hardest to make sure there was no police report. Then when we got back from Mexico sent a note that they "reviewed the footage" and didn't find anything. They also mentioned my wife looked unstable which is ridiculous. This was $10k+ worth of items, including laptops with sensitive data.

Colima 71 has been my best hotel experience so far. I only wish they had one in every city I travel to.

Staying at Colima 71 is like immersing yourself in a living art gallery. Every corner feels carefully curated, yet never overwhelming, it invites you to look, to pause, and to feel. At the same time, it has an undeniable warmth, a sense of belonging that makes it more than just a beautiful space. It feels like a home away from home, where design, culture, and comfort blend seamlessly. On top of that, the staff is among the friendliest and most caring I have ever encountered: always attentive, with the perfect balance between genuine hospitality and giving guests their space.

Perfect location, great service and comfortable room

Rooms are spacious and comfortable. The hotel is on a beautiful street, close to numerous restaurants, bars and taco stands. Also an easy location to get to other parts of the city, such as Condesa, Chapultepec or the historic district on foot, Uber, or bicycle (Ecobici station across the street). The staff is top notch and is friendly and helpful. The breakfasts are amazing, so great to be able to walk past the huge line at Panaderia Rosetta every day. It’s a lively neighborhood, but it’s incredibly quiet once you’re inside. The only annoying things were the $45 daily charge added to the room rate as well as coffee (other than one cup with breakfast) being an additional charge. Kind of made me go from feeling pampered to ripped off.

Amazing spot to stay in the city

Amazing service and great team. Adriana was super welcoming and helped us out with restaurant reservations. Breakfast service was divine. Beautiful spacious rooms with everything you need. Easy to get around. It’s a great spot to stay in the city.

Not really a complaint, but wish our room had views. It faced the patio wall, which blocked sunlight, despite the beautiful big windows and lovely patio.

Contemporary, nicely located and expensive hotel

I liked that our room was quiet and large. Bed was comfortable. Hotel is located close to many nice restaurants, bars and cafes.

I did not like that the hotel wanted to charge U$S 100 for transport from the hotel to the international airport Benito Juarez, when an Uber costed only $8.59. I did not like that on top of a reasonably high price paid through Bookings, the hotel charged a $45 fee per day for no apparent reason.

A gem in the city.

This property and staff exceeded all my expectations. From the moment you walk in to the beautiful spa like aroma and decor to the amazing staff. Everything was superb. I had forgotten that my reservation included a daily breakfast which we had delivered to our room. No need to fight the crowds to visit the famous Rosetta bakery, our breakfast included baked goods from there and wonderful food items from other places. The location is in a safe lovely neighborhood perfect for exploring. I highly recommend and will return!

There is a self service liquor bar (although the staff always helped us to make a drink), which could have been better stocked with options? Honestly though this is nitpicking as we still had lovely nightcap which we took up to our room.

The staff was really personable and friendly. Stephani helped us arrange dinner reservations and activities in the city. The hotel was very clean, sleek, and modern. We loved the daily morning lattes/breakfast from Rosetta bakery. The honor bar and 24hr coffee bar were great touches to the hotel.

The coffee was a little watery. However the expresso lattes were great.

I left very early before breakfast hour but the concierge made me a delicious espresso with cookies to start my day. He was also showed me around the building and was quite knowledgeable about the art work and architectural / interior design.

Tbe best hotel I’ve ever stayed!!

Everything about this hotel is amazing, located in the best street of Roma Norte just a few steps from all the best restaurants. The architecture and interior design is phenomenal, the rooms are very large and I can’t remember when was the last time I had such a comfortable bed with great linens. the staff is always friendly, helpful. I hope to be back soon!!

An excellent stay, with only one or two small points needing attention.

The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, the centrality (for my purposes) of the location, the high quality of the bed, the quiet and understated design of the hotel and furnishings, and the unique and excellent toiletries.

Housekeeping came in the mid or late afternoon, with the result that after being out for much of the day and eager to take a nap I had either to wait in one of the public areas for the service to be completed or else cancel the service for the day. I suggest that housekeeping service in the late morning or early afternoon would be preferable and welcome. Also: there are no "Do Not Disturb" signs for the rooms, with the result that I was disturbed twice by hotel staff.
