Studios on 2nd - Studio 3

It is a really beautiful, cosy aesthetically furnished studio, closely located within walking distance to the beach and Boardwalk Shopping Centre. The studio is fully equipped with everything you need and pictures does not really fully capture the beauty of the studio. They paid attention to detail with all amenities within the studio, the kitchen, the bedrooms, the bathrooms and living area all clean and fully equiped with everything you need. Also, the private patio with the Weber braai added a nice "home away from home" ambiance. Also, there is sufficient parking. Marilish, the host is very nice and great with communication. The check-in process was seamless, with clear check-in details and instructions, that were sent on time.

Even though the entire establishment is quite, there was noise from the apartment above that carried through to our unit...which was not a problem during the day but a bit of a problem at night. The TVs in bedrooms helped, so we just kept them on throughout the night to minimize the noise effect. Even though the place was super clean, there was a bit of a "sewagy" type of smell, not sure where it came from. We got used to it and tried tp open the windows as much as possible during the stay. On our first night, there was an unfortunate incidence that made us feel very uncomfortable.... When I walked from the gate from opening for my daughter, as we walked to our unit , a white bald- headed man driving a white small SUV car, passed us, and parked in the designated parking area, not far from our unit ...As we were passing him towards our unit he stopped us and started asking us very interrogatory questions, such as 'who we are, which unit we stayed at., who did we make our booking with, and ended his intimidatory interrogation by saying "ensure that you don't make noise here, during your stay" ( like a head master talking to school children in a boarding house). This felt like racial profiling of some sort, and found myself wondering if he asked these questions to all the guests within the establishment .... This felt like "racial profiling" to me but I decided to be emotionally intelligent by answering all his questions politely,, as I wanted to avoid confrontations , especially at night and infront of my daughter. The following day, we found another white old lady in our private patio, and when I asked what she was looking for, she said she came to view and admire the garden....and she immediately left. This was quite odd, as I felt it violated our privacy... but I just chose to dismiss the incident, and chose to view it as a pure coincident from the interogatory event from last night.

Our host, Mariliesh, went the extra mile to make us feel welcome and at home. A lovely, clean, beautiful furnished studio made us wish we could stay longer. We will definitely return in future. Great value for our money. Thank you Mariliesh.

The property is a stone throw away to Boardwalk Mall and Beach, situated in a quite area. For Security its fitted with Cameras. What you see on the internet its what we got. Fully equipped property.

Opening and closing of sliding door its a struggle. Needs more details with cleaning coz we saw dead bees, spider web kitchen tap was full of grease dirt. Shower drainage in main bedroom needs attention. Too much noise from footsteps from the apartment above.
