Chic 4BR Maltese Gem with Game Room in Siġġiewi

This place was perfect for our family of 7, with 4 bedrooms all with a bathroom each, everyone had their own space. The games room was a nice space to play some pool and just sit and chat. TV in every room, even though we didn't use them. The location was central to the town of Siggewei, with local bars and cafes, and right opposite a wine bar with amazing wines and sharing platters. Accessible by bus, within 20 yards of the bus stop.

We didn't mind the church bells, but they are constant, every 15 minutes they chime and are quite noisy, take ear plugs for the night time if it bothers you. Outside space was accessible by very steep and narrow stairs, not for the feint hearted getting up there, or down again. This is not mentioned in the listing. A few more items in the kitchen would be useful, grater, sharp knives.

Maison rien a dire,cependant il y a une église à 20 mètres (sans exagérer) qui sonne les heures, les quarts d'heures et les demi heures le jour et surtout TOUTE LA NUIT. C'est une information qui devrait être précisé dans la situation de la maison.

We loved the balcony, the view and location. The overall house was great and spacious for all of us and comfortable.

The moisture was a big problem during our stay. The bedrooms we moist especially the bed sheets and the towels. Some of the extra pillows had mold and the couch in the game room did as well. The game room walls were so moist that the material transferred and could be molded under slight touch. The hot water did not last for entirety of showers and the amount of stairs wasn’t very clear. The stairs were fine for our group but I do think that it should be more clearly stated.

The location is 25-30 minutes with bus to Valletta. You have the bus station near. The church is ringing the bells like every 15' minutes and hour, so be ready in the morning. We had a grill on the balcony which we used once, but it was ok, better than the HOB.

The house, was like in pictures, but that's the real problem. In pictures and in description is almost perfect, until you get there. Not enough hot ( not even warm) water for 2 persons for 1 shower. Room 4 had problem with water heating system. After doing some electricity work we managed to make it work, but suddenly it started leaking non stop. The humidity inside the house is outrageous. You cannot dry any towel in a week time. Everything is slicky, slimy. The game room is there only to be there for instagram posts, but is useless( the pool table is small, the game machine is boring, the darts, is old and boring as well. The "fully equipped kitchen" is a lie. You can do like a breakfast for 3-4 people, but if you wanna use to more than one stove eyes the electricity blow up and you end up in dark, until you plug it on again. So useless. We managed to do pasta for 8 people in like 3 hours. 4 pasta waters changed for 2kg of pasta. So you know if it is fully equipped or no, but for my experience it is not. We had problems with the keys on the check in day(night for us). We waited like 45 minutes on the phone to entry on the house, because the key code for the locker doesn't work as in the famous ZZZING APP that they tell you to download. Inside the house, besides bedrooms, it was cold, you cannot stay in shorts or t-shirt. Outside the weather was nice, 17-20 degrees Celsius, but the humidity killed us in the house. I do not recommend the house in such conditions. My holiday in Malta was good but it would been better if the house was as we expected. I'm disappointed.
