Mould on the walls, very humid. The maintenance had to intervene and we were kept out from the flat for one entire day without any offer for compensation.

Nice powerful shower with just about enough hot water. Great kitchen facilities. Lots of storage. Nice quiet neighbourhood. Clean apartment. The host brought over more towels when we needed them, and arranged early check-in for us, which was really helpful.

One of the rooms was too noisy to sleep in because whenever someone used a bathroom in the apartment above, it caused a really loud disruptive sound. The host communication before our stay wasn't the best. Quite a few times, when I emailed with a question (for example, asking about early check-in), my email and any follow-up emails were ignored. Sometimes, one question in the email would be responded to, while the other one was ignored. Twice, I had to call Booking.com customer service to chase up a response.

The apartment is easily accessible and in central location for trips. The owner was friendly and when asked quickly brought us missing kitchen equipment.

- from pictures here you cannot understand that there are several apartments - we have expected apartment fit for 2 families (8 people) with communal space, big kitchen. But those pictures were of another apartment. I would not recommend this place for people who want to cook and eat together in group (bar stools for 5 people, bar desk even smaller), nor for children that can only play on the stone floor or beds. - there is not much natural light - no windows except in entry hall and one room. - for us the major issue was the mold and moldy smell. We were told by the owner this is common in Malta, but we were not able to dismiss it so lightly (one of us is a doctor for pulmonary issues). I would not recommend this place for people with asthma or breathing problems. - It would be great if the kitchen was better equipped - coffeemaker, ladle, basic cooking things.
