About this cottage rental
Our cozy mountain home has breathtaking views of Smoky Mountain National Park from all main living spaces. With two living rooms, large outdoor deck, and nearly 1.5 acres, there is no shortage of space to spread out. This home is nestled just a short drive up the mountain from Fontana Village resort/marina and 10 miles from the Tail of the Dragon. It includes a carport and is easily accessible by paved roads and a circular paved driveway.
- 2000 Square foot cottage on a level 1.5 acres with long range, northeast mountain views year round.
- Watch the sunrise over Smoky Mountain National Park.
- Located in a small, quaint cove (please be mindful of neighbors).
- Home is cooled/heated by mini-split air conditioning units.
- Newly updated kitchen with all supplies needed for cooking.
- All 2.5 bathrooms recently renovated.
- Master bath includes walk in shower.
- Main bath includes a tub/shower combo.
- Indoor laundry room.
- Black out shades and curtains in each bedroom.
- Large deck off side of the home.
- Less than 1 mile to Fontana Village Resort with 2 swimming pools, tennis courts, beach volleyball, playground, mini golf, frisbee golf, mountain bike rentals, and boat rentals are available.
- 4 Miles to the Appalachian trailhead at Fontana Dam. We love hikers!
- 1.5 Miles from Hellbender 28
- Public access to boat launch available at Fontana Resort Marina and also at Cable Cove public boating access off Fontana Road (NC Hwy 28)
All areas of the home are accessible to guests with the exception of a locked storage closet off the master bedroom and carport workshop.
Other things to note
-The home is located in a cove on the mountain and is a dead zone for cell phones. Starlink wi-fi internet is provided. No land-line. Any web based messaging works well or wi-fi-based cell phone calling.
- DVDs & DVD player available.
- Closest grocery store is located in Robbinsville 25 minutes from the house. Plan accordingly. The Fontana Village General Store and the Pit Stop gas station also sell items you may have forgotten.
- Graham County was previously a dry county and only wine and beer are available for purchase at the local grocery or convenience stores. Plan accordingly.
-Our home has steps to enter the front door and has two small sets of steps inside the house, so just be aware before booking.
-Toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, and laundry detergent are provided.
- Towels and linens are provided for your stay.
-The kitchen does NOT have a dishwasher.
HOUSE RULES:
- Keep noise to a minimum after 10 pm.
- There will be NO smoking inside the home. Extra cleaning fees to remove odors or stains will be applied.
- Pets allowed if you request during booking. We will apply additional fee for deep cleaning.
- We will do our best to accommodate changes to check-ins/outs or other requests.
-The home was purchased by our family and renovated to be a functional spot for friends and family to gather, and we open our home to you. We expect for our guests to treat our property kindly.

I was just telling a friend that if I had to rebook this trip I would start with rebooking this house. The four of us found plenty of room to spread out and relax after driving the mountain roads around the resort. We cooked a meal in the kitchen and found everything where you would just expect to be. The view is something out of a painting and is epic. The property is well maintained and comfortable. The hosts are responsive and pleasant. Only small issue is if your car is super low be mindful of the driveway, don't use the church side of the driveway. The red car just made it.

As a car enthusiast this is a great place to stay. Being just a few miles from the "Tail of The Dragon" and our car rally based at Fontana Village. The house is well kept and has plenty of room for the kids to be separate from the adults. The only issue that we have is trash deposal. I think it would be easier for the cleaner to take care of the trash since they're local and know where to take it. For the customer to have to drive miles down the road to find a dumpster and make room to pack the trash out. (We're in a 2 seat sports car with limited truck space.) Is a pretty big ask. That being said we love the place and have already booked for the next car rally.
