Welcome to The Tail of the Dingo. This unique 2 bed 2 bath A-Frame that sleeps six, combines contemporary decor & modern amenities with 1960`s charm. Explore and enjoy what lake Santeetlah has to offer & take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Nestled in the trees with serene lake views, just minutes from lake access. Peaceful mornings & fun filled afternoons await you. Newly renovated with 2 king beds, sofa bed, game room, fully stocked coffee bar & covered hot tub. You`ll have it all

The location provides exceptional recreational opportunities. There are over 250 miles of hiking trails in the Cheoah District of the Nantahala National Forest. Hike within the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, nearby Appalachian Trail and among the ancient trees of Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest.
This part of North Carolina is famous for its scenic mountain drives that include the Cherohala Skyway and Highway 129 Tail of the Dragon.
The lake has a variety of fish including small mouth bass, large mouth bass, walleye, crappie, bream, and lake trout. Santeetlah Marina is the only full-service marina on a lake that has 76 miles of forested shoreline. The surrounding mountains dip right down to the waterline, Approximately a mile from the town is Cheoah Point Recreation Area, which has developed swimming, camping, and picnic facilities as well as a public boat ramp.
Parking: Paved road all the way to the cabin, with no issues even in winter. Loads of flat parking at the cabin for several cars and we can accommodate trailers. please ask us about any oversized parking prior to booking.

Minimum age for primary renter is 25. No large gatherings or parties. No smoking/vaping in or around the property. NOTE: We allow dogs upon request and approval with $150 fee per pet - 2 PET MAXIMUM upon approval!! Any pet must be crated if left alone at the property & not allowed on the furniture or beds - if rules are not followed and additional cleaning is required an additional cleaning fee will be charged. Quiet time starts at 11PM. Please turn off outdoor lights when not in use. We have a 6 person maximum.

The cabin had everything we needed, was modern in design and very clean for allowing pets, which we did bring our beagle. The hot tub was new, spacious and clean. Very convenient location to the marina and sightseeing in the fall. Was perfect and roomy for our family of 4, with teen and college student, to hang out and play games. We would definitely stay again!

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful A-frame cabin on Lake Santeetlah in Robbinsville, NC! The cabin was quaint, artfully decorated, and every detail felt thoughtfully considered. It was spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing getaway.The hot tub was the perfect spot to unwind in the evenings, and we had so much fun around the fire pit making s’mores. We also enjoyed how close it was to Chenoa Point Beach, a gorgeous public spot just a short drive away.Our hosts were incredibly responsive and helpful, making check-in and check-out smooth and stress-free. We loved it so much that we even extended our stay by another night!Highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful, charming, and well-appointed retreat in the mountains.

Great communication with our hosts as needed - super easy check in and check out process. House and linens all felt fresh and clean, kitchen was well stocked. Amazing deck for sunset, awesome hot tub. While there is not much of a town to speak of the location is amazing for Cherohala access and Tail of the Dragon access! Loved kayaking from the marina, and walking through the lake village roads. Excellent stay!

Great little spot and very well maintained. We parked the boat and trailer right outside the house and felt very at home and relaxed, taking advantage of the hot tub, deck and comfy living quarters. I'd definitely recommend for a couple or small family!
