Lovely hosts. Were always available and happy to help.
The apartment was very clean and had all the necessities. Plus complimentary tea and coffee. Location is nice, in a secure building, next to a couple of shops and caffès.
The second bed(actually the foldable sofa) is quite squeaky when moving around in bed. And you can hear the neighbours from above. Not a big problem for me, but light sleepers be advised.

Ample kitchen utensils. Walking distance groceries and quick food places (e.g., pizza). 12 minutes walking to the free access beach (of course, the tents cost extra though). Air conditioners in both bedroom and living room worked fine. Shower water pressure was great. Washing machine did the job.
Note that Ostia is known as a working-class suburb of Rome, which is fair, and some even call it the gangster town, which is unfair or at least invisible. It's true the nearest train station had a few beggars, but it's actually worse in Rome itself. Unlike Rome, we always felt safe and the apartment itself is in a well-maintained part of Ostia.
Very minor: the living room foldable sofa isn't the most comfortable, but good enough.
