This place was kind of quirky being made up of several old houses but the result was a wonderful old inn. The staff were young, friendly and very welcoming. We had a wonderful conversation with our hosts at breakfast. This will be one of our favorite memories of our stay in Japan.
Not a complaint about the property, but we neglected to reserve dinner ahead of time. If we were to go back I would like to eat dinner at Mitsubikiya.

The Milky Way was visible 12-3am so awesome. The dinner and breakfast was generous and good.
It’s not cheap, but it’s worth it though… I do wish they give 2 pillows per guest (instead of only 1) and the pillows were the bean type… which didn’t offer much support. A pillow menu or more pillows would have been much appreciated.

Old and outdated. Not quite the cleanliness standards we have experienced in Japan as a whole.
