Rue Guillaumont heart of old Antibes

The place is in an excellent location, very clean and recently remodeled. Guillaume was super helpful and brought us a bottle of prosecco upon arrival. Very much appreciated after our long travel day. We were let in a bit early, which was also appreciated.

The A/C takes a bit to get going, but follow the instructions and the rooms cool down.

This is a wonderful house in a fabulous location. The house is super modern and the furnishings are beautiful and of very high quality. The house has been superbly designed with a ground floor master suite and bathroom and on the first floor two double bedrooms with a Jack and Jill bathroom. On the second floor is the lounge/kitchen/diner which is comfortable and contemporary. We ate in a couple of times and the pans and utensils were of excellent quality and looked hardly used! We were a family of 6; myself and my husband, his parents and our 14 and 11 year old. We all loved the house! Julie, who owns the house was very responsive and Guillaume was there to let us in and guide us through the property. He also bought us Prosecco and chocolates. The house is situated on a quiet street and the double glazed windows block out all of the noise. You only need to walk a few metres and you are in the centre of the old town. You couldn’t have a better location! We haven’t been to Antibes for 15 years and were so excited to return. And it did not disappoint. It is better than ever. It is bustling with people, restaurants, outdoor eateries/bars, a lovely beach, wow factor yachts and just a beautiful vibe. And if you’re frightened to come because you don’t speak French, then don’t worry, everyone speaks English here. In fact I tried to speak French, having done French A-Level, but a lot of the time they simply knew I was English and spoke back to me in French. Some didn’t though, which I enjoyed! We will definitely return to this house and Antibes again.

Ideal location. Very high standard fittings and furnishings. Lovely sun balcony. Having rooms on many levels gave a great sense of space. We were sad to leave it and would love to return!

Plenty of cafés etc recommended but no restaurants. We had two satisfactory meals out near the property but it would have been nice to have had a few suggestions for dining out or ordering in.

The location and the layout and the roof were great.

They listed that they have air conditioning but when we stayed it did not work. It was more like a very light fan. They had units in every room but even on the highest fan setting barely any air came out. Maybe the filters needed cleaning. We listened to instructions of keeping it on 21 or 22 degrees but that did not cool down the rooms at all so we were sweating and had to take constant cold showers to cool down. We were not able to sleep comfortably. We even turned off the living room fan at night to cool down the rooms and that did not work either. So it was uncomfortable to be in the house during our stay. They gave reasoning that it’s because it’s so hot outside to the ac has a hard time working but we went into restaurants and shows nearby and their air conditioners were working just fine so I didn’t think that was a good excuse. Also there’s no kitchen towels for drying hands or cleaning and not enough toilet paper for 5 people for 4 days.
