Recanto da Princesa by Homie

We were impressed by the apartment. There were five of us and the apartment felt very spacious and all amenities were present. It was also very clean. The many terraces were fantastic too. The location was perfect for us, just outside the hustle and bustle of the city center. The welcome by Homie was also very friendly and they went to great lengths to accommodate our request to check in earlier. We really enjoyed our stay.

Great apartment! Super spacious with 3 bathrooms (2 ensuites and one family bathroom). In a really good location , approx 15 min walk to the city. The parking spot in the garage was great too. The apartment was also very clean. There was AC in all 3 rooms and the living room (which also turned into a heater). The hosts were very responsive and responded very quickly to messages.

The pillows were very flat so could do with an upgrade. The blinds/curtains weren't blackout in 2 of the rooms so let a lot of light in the mornings. Could also do with a bit more of basic amenities such as more body wash and box of tissues.

Looked like it had been recently remodelled. It was convenient to many restaurants and walking distance to the waterfront and old Funchal. There was a mini- market close by for most grocery/wine needs and a bigger Mercado (Pingo Doce) again within walking distance. There was parking for a car - which didn’t have - but could be useful. The elevator worked well. Communication with Homie was excellent.

The bathrooms had concrete counter tops that were hard to keep clean. There were incense sticks around which we put on the balcony and one incense device plugged into a socket which we unplugged.
