Beautiful little gem in a gorgeous location. Monika was wonderful; highly informative and very generous, particularly with the breakfast! Xagħra is a lovely village, with lots of restaurants, whilst Gozo itself is definitely worth a visit.

I would like to bring to your attention several issues we encountered during our recent stay at [MJ Farmhouse B&B], booked through your platform. Unfortunately, our experience did not match the description or expectations presented on Booking.com.
1. Pool Access:
The listing stated that the pool was open at all times throughout the year, which was one of the main reasons we chose this property. However, upon arrival, we were told that pool use was not allowed during the evening or night. We paid €280 for one night (4 adults and 3 children) but were not permitted to use the pool as advertised. When we requested clarification, the owner, Ms. Monica, cited safety reasons and only allowed pool access in the morning—right before our 10 AM checkout.
2. Kitchen Usage:
We were informed that cooking was not allowed as per the property’s policy. However, this restriction was not mentioned on the Booking.com listing. This caused inconvenience during our stay.
3. Power Outage:
Around 11 PM, the electricity went off, causing panic among the children. When we contacted Ms. Monica, she seemed upset for being disturbed late at night and initially blamed us for interfering with the electrical system. Later, she concluded that the power failure occurred because the lights had been left on in all three rooms we booked. This was unexpected and made us feel uncomfortable.
4. Breakfast and Privacy:
Although breakfast was included in our booking, Ms. Monica arrived at the property around 6 AM to prepare it and stayed until we left. This affected our privacy and made the morning feel rushed.
